Newfoundland/Labrador

Harbour boardwalks, mountaintop trails, salty Atlantic cruises, and Captain James Cook join forces to complete your Newfoundland/Labrador travel experience.
It’s best to kick off our Newfoundland/Labrador adventure in Channel-Port aux Basques with a stroll and browse session through unique shops on the flag-decorated Scotts Cove Harbour Boardwalk, from Marine Atlantic to Scott’s Cove Park. Burn off additional calories with a walk up the gravel Table Mountain Hiking Trail to the mountain’s peak on the outskirts of town.
From Channel-Port aux Basques, drive on Trans-Canada Hwy 1 all the way to Corner Brook. On the Corner Brook Stream Trail, hike through the heart of the city, stopping to see bridges and the gorge from viewing decks equipped with seating. See reproductions of vintage Canadian maps and charts at Corner Brook’s Captain James Cook Monument National Historic Site. Take part in a sailing tour departing from the town harbor or go for a swim and a picnic at Margaret Bowater Park. At the Ewing Gallery, browse through arts and crafts produced by Newfoundland’s artists.
