We camped overnight at the Tags RV Park during the third week of May 2018. This IS a parking lot behind the Tags gas station / convenience store / restaurant at the intersection of the Alaska Hwy and the Campbell Hwy. You check into the RV park inside the convenience store. It's a dusty lot without much grass at all, which is a very typical style for RV parks this far north in Canada. Convenient to the "sign-post forest" which is immediately across the street. It's also a great location for fuel and some grocery items that you can purchase in the Tags convenience store. Our camp site had water, sewer and 50 amp electric for $30 (USD). There were only a few RVs in the park the night we stayed so it wasn't crowded. RVs may be parked a bit too close when the park is full. If you have a choice, camp as far away from the Tags building as possible so the sounds of their freezer / refrigerator compressors and overnight traffic are less annoying and bothersome. Although we slept well and the price was quite reasonable, next time through Watson Lake, YT I may look for a campsite that is more esthetically appealing.

Check in was a pleasant experience and the personnel very accommodating. Needed Canadian quarters for laundry and they had plenty on hand. Campsite is but a parking lot, but it provided electric, water, and sewer. Directly across the street from the Sign Forest, very convenient!

Like many rv parks in Canada and Alaska, this is just a big gravel parking lot with full hookups. My pull-thru was not level. Restrooms/showers are new and clean. Showers are not free. The rv park is behind the store/gas station. We thought it would be noisy but thankfully it was not too bad and also thankfully the park was not crowded so we had plenty of space. If it were full, I believe the configuration would put the rvs very close together. There is no shade. The wifi was not working, however,... Read More

The wifi was not working, however, across the street is the visitor center and wifi there is good and free. Saw fox in the park in the morning. This is strictly and overnight stay for me, I would not want to spend more time here. I would stay here again if needed. Sign forest across the street by the visitor center.
