Not sure how Good Sam determines their rating, but the park that I stayed in definitely doesn't fit the ratings that Good Sam gave. IMHO, when staying in this park, you are paying for location ONLY. The cost of this park is not $150, our fee was $164. per night. The park is old, not particularly well kept, and extremely tight (made for old trailers, per management). The roads are gravel, with strips of grass between trailers. We have a relatively small toy hauler (25') and we were in a pull thru... Read More

The cost of this park is not $150, our fee was $164. per night. The park is old, not particularly well kept, and extremely tight (made for old trailers, per management). The roads are gravel, with strips of grass between trailers. We have a relatively small toy hauler (25') and we were in a pull thru space. There is not enough space to park your vehicle with your trailer/rv, you have to parallel park in front or back, which then crowds into the road area. We couldn't get all the way into the space because the patrons in the next isle over were parked behind their units and we couldn't pull all the way forward without running into their vehicles. We had a motorcycle in our toyhauler that we couldn't take out because there was no room to put it. Our neighbors got scolded by the 'manager' because they parked their motorcycle on the grass while they were unloading. Most of the staff are extremely nice, but the manager was not particularly accommodating. His answer to your complaint/frustration was, 'if you don't like it, you can leave.' (a great customer service technique). The bathrooms are old, the showers are super small and instead of doors on the showers, they have shower curtains. Maybe that is a good thing because, due to the size, you couldn't get dressed if there was a solid door. Also, when patrons were washing clothes, the water temp in the shower went from hot to luke warm. The men's bathroom has two toilets for 104 RV spaces. The picnic tables were full of splinters. We were told that they are going to renovate in 2 years, by the looks of things, that is about 10 years too late. Maybe if they didn't try cramming so many people in the park, there would be room for parking, but it seems like every space was filled. Very disappointed in this park. Bottom line, if you are just wanting a good location, don't need the other amenities and are willing to pay the price, this may be the park for you.

This campgrounds only attraction is it’s location. The road throughout the campground is riddled with unavoidable potholes. The length of each site cannot easily accommodate today’s longer rigs. There was no room to park our truck after setting up our 35 ft 5th wheel, which was a common problem throughout the park. The entrance and exit are woefully inadequate to comfortably navigate. We did not visit the bathhouse, but the laundry facility was nice. Reasonably priced and clean. I suggest they... Read More

Sites are right on top of each other. Value versus pricing does not match up. Main issue is the owner is a very rude individual. He treats guests like dirt. Very unprofessional. I would avoid this place like the plague.

What a dissapointment. When you pay $100 per night for an RV space, you expect something special. This place did not deliver. It's an old park and dated. It needs to be updated badly. The gravel access roads are a mess. Restrooms were closed as was the lanudry. It is close to town, which is the only reason why anyone would stay here.

Nice park inside Jackson city limits, close to everything. Facility was well maintained, site was level and although pull thru site could not really accommodate RV and a car without a lot of squeezing, all worked out OK. Park personnel were super nice and helpful. Site was pricey, but considering it is inside Jackson city limits and EVERYTHING in Jackson is pricey, not really bad for location.

Only local RV park in Jackson Hole, close to downtown. Staff is nice, roads need help, good grass areas at pull thru and trees. Busy streets around park so dog areas are very distracting for pets. Twice as expensive as any parks we've been to, nothing to see here, but location, location, location.

If you want to stay in Jackson this is your only choice. It's expensive at about $100 per night, but you can't find a hotel room for less than $150 in this town. This property is worth millions to developers, so to keep it an Rv park they charge more. I like it because it is convenient. Laundry is good. Staff are usually friendly.

Very disappointed with this park, pet area not adequate, rude employees. Would not recommend staying here. Very expensive

The Virginian is one of very options when it comes to Jackson and this shows up in their nightly price. The people who worked the park were all friendly, but the parks needs some modifications. First, RV's tend to have pets and the pet area is an area about 3' wide and 20 ft long behind the dumpster, which means no area at all really. Also, the showers were even smaller than the shower in my class C. They were by far the smallest I've ever seen in an RV park. While the location is good, the... Read More

We called the day before & requested an early check in (10:00am) because we needed to start setting up for the Art Festival, they told us to call back next day, did so... They were super rude, said we had to wait until 1:00PM because our site was not ready, we had friends already there who knew that our site was vacated early that morning, so we knew it was. Then when we were finally able to back into our site our view was of a substation, which was noisy... in the middle of the night there was... Read More

The "dog walk area" was a 3' wide path behind the dumpster, no bags available to clean up poop so most people were not doing so. Would not stay here again, not only were unhappy with the service & site... It is way overpriced!

For $100.00 per night a real rip off. Mens room has 2 toilets, two urinals,3 showers for 105 spaces. Dog areas are a joke. RV spaces are very close to each other, I will never stay there again.

Campground located about a mile from the downtown square. They assigned a spot for me next to the busy street with a lot of truck and bus traffic. Our RV is only 25' long and we backed it up into the spot and it left plenty of room for our Jeep and six foot to spare to the park road. But the lady manager made us part the car out on the street. My wife went up the next day to ask a question and came back saying that the lady manager was outright rude to her. We will never go back there. Hopefully... Read More

Spent three days there. While expensive - they are in town. Caution - If you are using GPS that allows selecting of the RV place - You may end up 13 - 20 miles away. Ours took us 13 miles out of the way and down a bad road. Owners says they have had problems - does not know why and recommends using the GPS coordinates .
