This park is about 5 miles from the entrance to Arches National Park and a short drive to Canyonlands. The park is also a short drive to Main Street Moab, grocery stores and gas stations. Jailhouse Cafe has great waffles and other breakfast items. Spitfire grill had had live entertainment and a good bar and outdoor seating. We enjoyed the entertainment. Many of the restaurants were closed or had reduced hours. This was an excellent location as a base for area attractions. But, the noise from... Read More

Many of the restaurants were closed or had reduced hours. This was an excellent location as a base for area attractions. But, the noise from U.S. 191 was apparent at our location. The park had buddy sites, which may appeal to some. Our "buddies" were fine, although one had many toys. We did meet some nice people, also. We would prefer more privacy. The store was stocked well. Staff were helpful and pleasant. The pool was small and very crowded because of the heat. The laundry and the restrooms could use an update, but were very clean. The park was laid out well, but the entrance was a little confusing and we missed the park coming in because the signage was blocked by a tree. There was also construction on the road, which didn't help. The towering hills across the street and the river nearby made this park fun. My only concern are the dogs that were off leash. It made it difficult to sit outside with our own dog or even take a walk in the park with dogs darting out at us as we walked by the site. Dog owners need to take this more seriously. Not everyone loves dogs. The park needs to enforce their policies (#4). "Pets must be kept on a leash and may not be left unattended." These parks can make their own policies about allowing pets. If you don't respect these rules, they can prohibit pets. So be good pet owners respect the rules of the park and practice good etiquette with your fellow campers.

A good location for both The Arches and Canyonlands. It's also a short drive into Moab. This is a larger campground with areas for both RVs and tents. The pool was in use each day we stayed here (3). The spaces are nice and the restrooms were spotless! I do have a complaint in that the lights go off in the restrooms after 30 minutes if no motion is sensed. Later at night, alone in the building, I guess I took too long organizing myself/clothes/products in the shower before getting wet. I found... Read More

Later at night, alone in the building, I guess I took too long organizing myself/clothes/products in the shower before getting wet. I found myself covered in soap when the lights went out...not a good feeling and a danger for someone older! My 2nd concern/complaint is that SunResorts is buying campgrounds in the are and has/will soon have a monopoly for fees. The rate was $71 per night, but we did get a discount. When I asked about the rate and why it seemed high I was told this is the going rate in the area. As SunResorts buys more campgrounds they have more control over the going rate!

Traveling in a 38 foot coach we stayed 4 nights in a site for big rigs. We stayed at this RV park during early February and during this time of year the park was very quiet. This park is actually 25 years old but is well maintained and has the appearance of a much newer park. The area is well manicured with picnic tables between RV sites and lights between each site. The wifi worked very well. They are able to refill propane tanks on site. They even gave us two chocolate chip cookies upon check-in!... Read More

An added bonus is that we could park our car right next to our RV. For dog owners there are two doggy parks. We would definitely stay here again.

The Good: Easy access from the Highway. Stop light from the north blocks traffic if you are arriving from the south. Great store. One of the best I have seen in my travels. Includes beer. Easy to work with staff. Very prompt and courteous. Open in winter. BBQ grill and table on your shared area. Lots of public space, two dog parks. Well lit. Property fenced The Bad; Spaces are small; noticed tire marks on every curb; you share green space with neighbor. Signage is a bit misleading.....normally... Read More

Signage is a bit misleading.....normally you turn into a slot once you pass your spot...here the signs are on the far side of your slot. Only three toilets and four showers on the RV side. There is a second shower site on the tent cabin side. That said there is a large number of RV, ten, cabin sites.....so bathroom facilities could be an issue during premium times. Limited shade. Spaces on the east side subject to Road noise. The Ugly: .so bathroom facilities could be an issue during premium times. Shower knobs are worn...some turn 360 d. had to try 2 showers to get correct water temp.

Very clean park about 3 mi. north of Moab and 1.5 mi. south of Arches. Sites are small and closely spaced very small trees so not much shade. Right off 191. Lots to do here so you will probably not be in park much.

Excellent facility and staff. Beautiful location that is close to Arches National Park entrance and on the Colorado River. You are less than 5 minutes from downtown Moab. RV sites are very nice and had plenty of room for our 32' trailer. Bathrooms and laundry area very clean. We will make this a go to place and plan to stay here several times in the up coming year.

We were travelling with family, and got two opposite pull thru sites with green grass space between us. This was really nice, however, we had to pick all our stuff up every night (chairs, etc.) because the sprinklers came on at night. I get that they have to water the grass in Moab to have any, but it was a little inconvenient. There is no shade, as all the trees are very small. There will be some eventually. The staff was very friendly - you get chocolate chip cookies when you check in! They... Read More

The staff was very friendly - you get chocolate chip cookies when you check in! They have a nice little store, pool, mini golf, horseshoes, lifesize checkers and chess. The showerhouse was not always the cleanest, but it got a lot of use. You did need a code for the bath house after dark, I appreciated the security. There were cabins, and quite a few tent sites as well. Definitely a great location for Arches National Park, it is less than a mile to the gate. There is also a great, paved bike trail along the river, you can access it just across the highway from the park.

Great place to stay

Very nice clean park. Friendly staff with easy check in. Pool and hot tub immaculate. Level sites some with grass, some with small patio. Not much shade as trees are small. Separate tent area appeared quite nice with weather shades for protection.

Was really looking forward to staying here but turned out to be an unpleasant experience. All the sites are tiny with shared hook ups on one side and shared "green space" on the other. If your neighbors on the green space side are a pain, your stay will be also (as was ours). You have no real space for a towed vehicle even with our 30' motor home. The park was dominated by ATV, UTV and dirt bikers. Lots of noise, out of control parties and their vehicles parked everywhere (usually blocking our... Read More

Neighbors used the green space as a motorcycle repair and refueling area (including our picnic table), talk about hazardous. Complaint to management did nothing. Was glad to leave. Oh and the WiFi was so slow it was not usable.
