Stanmich3's review is spot on. We spent three restful days. If the wind had settled down (does it settle down on the prairie?) and the waves had then stilled, we would have put in our kayaks. Be sure to bring groceries because other than fish, there is nothing to be found to eat. You'll even probably be lucky to pass by a grocery store within, conservatively, sixty miles of this campground. If you camp here, you will be sleeping under the same sky as Hugh Glass. We live full-time in our 19' Airstream,... Read More

Pretty nice campground in the middle of absolutely no where. Unless you are going there to fish or use it as a one night stop over there is not much (anything) to do. The lake is nice and you can walk a bit but there really isn't anything there except the boat launch and campsites. Now having said that it really is a nice campground. Nice sites and the buildings look well cared for. We did not use the showers or bathrooms. Would we stay there again?? SURE! Now to STAY there you have to GET... Read More

Now to STAY there you have to GET there......the address my be 19150 Summersville Road but that is NOT where the campground is actually located. Therefore absolutely do not attempt to get to the campground from the west off of White Butte Road. It turns into a 2 track. Yes a 2 track. We slugged our way through but only because we have a small Class C on the MB Sprinter chassis. NO way an A gets in that way and I suspect anything being towed will not make it so don't even try. So ONLY approach from the East. Off of route 73. You do get on Summerville Road for awhile then take a left onto 190th Avenue, then a right onto North Cabin Road. THIS will get you to the campground. Please just trust me on this one!
