We made an on-line reservation for this RV park because we could not get through to anyone on the phone. Because we are 42 ft. and towing a car on a tow dolly, I specifically asked for a large pull-through. We were arriving late on the day of our arrival, and we got a call from someone at the office telling us our information would be in the late-arrival box. I again requested that we needed a large pull through and that we would prefer to not have to unhitch. She assured me that we would have... Read More

We had to unhitch everything, back up and then try several different approaches, finally settling for coming into our site the opposite direction. And all this cost us $71 for one night! What a rip-off. The place is mainly long-term renters, and they have everyone packed together like sardines. Never again!

We've stayed at Fairview on many occasions during the past 10 years. Very convenient for us before or after various road trips up North to stop for a few days to visit our son, who lives and works in Portland. Also we like the area from here East, following the Columbia. Had many pleasant visits to this region. We always stay at Fairview. It's a clean, safe well managed park, and we look forward to camping there in our Motor home. My only criticism would be that over the past number of years the... Read More

It's a clean, safe well managed park, and we look forward to camping there in our Motor home. My only criticism would be that over the past number of years the rates have been creeping up, and now into the $60 + per night for people like us who stay for a short time. I remember when the rates were $25 + a night or so, and it doesn't seem to be that long ago ! But during the summer the park seems always to be full, or close to full, so I guess they can push the rates as high as they will go. That's Capitalism, but I hope they don't end up killing the Golden Goose :-)

Nice park. Short drive along Columbia river gorge and to MT Hood. Had cable, adequate wifi and grassy sites. I would stay there again.

We stayed for two nights. The park is clean with nice level sites that have enough space to do what you need to do. We did not use the bathrooms so cannot comment on their condition. The pool was clean but very, very small. The problem with this park is the service and attitude of the staff. They are straight up rude and unfriendly and that is me being kind. I had a bad feeling early on when I went into the office and the only employee was on the phone. She didn't even look at me while she continued... Read More

The pool was clean but very, very small. The problem with this park is the service and attitude of the staff. They are straight up rude and unfriendly and that is me being kind. I had a bad feeling early on when I went into the office and the only employee was on the phone. She didn't even look at me while she continued her conversation for 10 minutes. Once off the phone she was very short in her responses. It was obvious she was not happy at all to have to do her job. This park has many, many rules and they seem to LOVE it when they get a chance to reprimand you when you break one of them. Our kids were not allowed to use their scooters and they were made aware in a rude way. Dogs must be on a short leash and again we were reminded in a very unfriendly manner. No beverages of any type in the pool area...not even water! Look, we generally follow the rules, but some of what they don't allow is just strange and we didn't suspect we couldn't do some of things. It was like we were in an RV prison! This park is NOT dog friendly. They have no designated pet areas (why is there a pet icon Good Sams?) so you have to try and find a spot in the corner or wherever and then of course you are given the stink eye for doing that. It's so bad that we recommend that you DO NOT stay here if you have a dog. The wifi was not working during our stay and we were very close to the office. I was told, again in an extremely rude way, that wifi doesn't work so don't even try and that we can go to the pool area and use wifi for a short specified amount of time if we have to. Reading other reviews this seems to be a common problem that has spanned multiple years. Maybe it's time they removed the wifi icon along with the pet friendly icon because they don't have either one. Obviously we won't stay here again and are recommending to everyone to avoid this place as well. There are plenty of RV parks in Portland who actually want you to stay at their place.

Very well organized, great staff, wide sides, apron on site for toad, picnic table, good wifi, good cable, good antenna, good for satelite, good water, electric and dump locations, nice landscape will stay here again. Quiet. Stayed 1 night.

- Cable didn't work - Internet didn't work - Given wrong code for bathroom/one commode in it - Well maintained When we checked in I overheard someone else say their cable didn't work; after we were set up the office was closed and our cable didn't work either. I told the guy at the desk the next morning and he said "No, the cable 'should' be working." No kidding, that's what I paid for and it didn't. I told him the internet passwords didn't work for the internet. He said, "Our wifi doesn't require... Read More

I told him the internet passwords didn't work for the internet. He said, "Our wifi doesn't require passwords." I was given three separate passwords for the wifi when we checked in with specific directions on how to set it up. Apparently he doesn't know how his wifi works or he doesn't know what other employees are telling guests. Tried the code we were given on two separate bathrooms, neither worked. I asked another guest and they told me the correct number, it was one digit off (i.e., 420 vs. 421...not the actual code). When we got into the bathroom my son and I needed to use the commode, there was only one. On the good side... The grounds were very well maintained and it was a pleasant park with friendly guests. Unfortunately it could've been in the Top 10 parks in the US but the customer service was horrible.

After initially parking on a spot by the road which was too noisy for us oldsters, management graciously found us a quieter location with a pull through space. They went out of their way help us. We did not use the restrooms, but the laundry room was spacious, light, well ventilated and very clean. I felt totally comfortable folding our clothes on the tables. All in all, one of the nicest places we have stayed on our trip and we will be booking a space again for our next trip to Portland.

No Internet. They use a second rate service called Tengointernet.com. I couldn't connect so the office gave me the tech support number. Tengointernet.com said it was down with no resolution estimate. Days later still no go. Front office said "yeah, they're pretty bad" Big help.

We booked ahead as we had a memorial service to attend with family coming. Since we had stayed here before and had a wonderful time and space we were excited about staying again. That is until we were given our space. We booked for extra people 10 in all as some would be staying one night with 4 being children ranging from 1.5 to 5 yrs of age. The space we were given was barely large enough to fit our fifth wheel much less out pickup and a guest car. I had to sweep the space to keep the things... Read More

The space we were given was barely large enough to fit our fifth wheel much less out pickup and a guest car. I had to sweep the space to keep the things that had fallen from the trees from tracking into our trailer. There were many pull through spaces of which we had asked for that the next day had small trailers or motor homes in them while we had a back up one that most RVers would not be able to back into with a pickup and trailer our size. The customer service was not good. I am having a hard time understanding why when we booked several weeks early so that we could have a space big enough for our group we were not granted it. Will have to think before booking here again if I want to experience the same small dirty space with such a small space of lawn between trailers our size.

RV park is very clean and quiet. Office staff was decent and check-in was quick. Did not use their pool and it is very small. Convenient for shopping and you save in Oregon since they have no sales tax, Did not use showers of laundry room and we do not travel with pets.

Not friendly at all. Seem like you are bothering them when you go ask a question. NOT friendly, even though they say they are. No place for pets to run off lease as MOST other quality parks have.

All site were on cement pads with mid size grass separation. Doggy friendly park. Helpful front desk staff. Bathrooms and showers were clean and free. Laundry room washers/dryers all in working order and $1.75 per load. Propane not on site but delivered every Monday. Quiet safe area close to freeway entrance, Camping World, Walmart, Troutdale Outlet Mall and DT Portland.

Very noises with the train tracks next to the park, the area surrounding the park was not very good. no services close to the park. We will not stay at this park again.

would stay here again, we didn't mind the sound of the trains, the view of Mt Hood was worth the noise, very clean park, friendly staff.

There is no Good Sam rating for customer service and there should be. At 9:30 pm on our first night someone knocked on my door to get me to move my car. One tire was partially on the grass and that was against the rules. Why couldn't they come by sooner. Secondly, they don't have a change machine in laundry. When I went to the office to get change they would only sell me a full role of quarters. It was too much trouble for them to count loose quarters. They need to either have a change machine... They need to either have a change machine or be willing to count less than $10 in loose quarters. It takes less than 30 seconds a night for the count.
