Camped here for four nights. They only have attendants at the park between 10 AM and 2 PM so if you arrive after these times you just pick a spot and they will catch up with you when they get there. The park is run by the municipality and is located on the banks of the Tay River which is part of the Rideau Canal. Large boats can come the river as far as the campground as stay over night. The river is great for canoeing and kayaking and you can paddle right into town.The town of Perth is only a short... Read More

Camped here for four nights. They only have attendants at the park between 10 AM and 2 PM so if you arrive after these times you just pick a spot and they will catch up with you when they get there. The park is run by the municipality and is located on the banks of the Tay River which is part of the Rideau Canal. Large boats can come the river as far as the campground as stay over night. The river is great for canoeing and kayaking and you can paddle right into town.The town of Perth is only a short walk away from the campground. The town has many historical building, lots of shopping and restaurants. The campground washrooms were very clean and well kept. No full service sites only electric and water with a dump station by the washrooms.
