Average city/county-run park. The plus side, walking along the lakeside is nice, but quite limited. Showers were ok, hooks for clothes etc are available in stall, one small wooden bench is outside of the two shower stalls and on the edge of the central room with sinks, urinals and toilet stalls. Sinks had not been cleaned for at least several days, they were visibly grimy. Staff are slow to pick up trash around trash cans, they never emptied the obvious trash in my site's fire ring that was left... Read More

There are NO maps available for the trails they say are present. I was unable to get confirmation of my reservation, altho I asked for it twice. I presume this is to protect the park when your reservations are not honored. I would stay there again if there were no better area alternative.

We stayed at Lake Reidsville from Friday thru Monday in late August. GPS took us straight to this location, which is off Hwy 29 in Reidsville. The assigned space for our 40' RV, full hookup, 50 amp was a back in, as were most of the sites we saw for those of us not staying full time. Lots were gravel. Sewer hookup for the 40' coach was up hill, so we had to manipulate it to get it to flow down. Pedestal seemed in good physical shape but when we connected to the 50 amp plug, no electricity came... The assigned space for our 40' RV, full hookup, 50 amp was a back in, as were most of the sites we saw for those of us not staying full time. Lots were gravel. Sewer hookup for the 40' coach was up hill, so we had to manipulate it to get it to flow down. Pedestal seemed in good physical shape but when we connected to the 50 amp plug, no electricity came thru, as the AC never came on and the refrigerator continued to beep-indicating not on electricity. There was also a 60 amp option, which we've never seen before and were reluctant to use because we didn't want to start a fire in the coach or "fry" any of the appliances and overload. However, we could only use the AC and refrigerator via electricity with the 60 amp option. We sought the help of the onsite camper mgr but he never showed up. Thankfully, we didn't have any more problems. We were several yards from the lake, which was nice. Didn't see any fishing at that end of the lake, as several guests who frequent this location told us it's overfished. Lots of trees, so if you have DirecTV satellite on top of your coach, you run the risk of no signal. But, thankfully, it was able to find a signal and lock in. Should be very pretty in the fall there when the leaves begin to change colors. It was nice to have a 3pm check out. There was a bathhouse and playground, which we didn't have a need to use. The office has a few items for sale in its store. Overall, it was a pretty good deal for $20 per night for non-residents of the city or state. If we're in this area again, we'll come back.
