This is a large RV park that mainly has long term campers and big rigs. Our site had a slope in the back, which made it difficult to level. The gravel site also sloped and had large rocks, which made walking difficult. The pool and bath house were nice. It is also a gated community. The staff wasn’t very friendly and seemed put out with having to answer our questions. I would not stay here again.

Very clean Men's bathroom, well kept property, nice pool, very helpful staff. I'd like to give this place a 4 or 5 star rating but ... The sewer opening is about 14 inches from the water supply, which unfortunately is below the sewer opening's level. We had a bunch of rain and the well that the faucet is down in kept filling with water after the rain stopped. I assume it came through the system of underground pipes from adjacent waterlogged sites. The cure is to run the faucet for a short time... Read More

The sewer opening is about 14 inches from the water supply, which unfortunately is below the sewer opening's level. We had a bunch of rain and the well that the faucet is down in kept filling with water after the rain stopped. I assume it came through the system of underground pipes from adjacent waterlogged sites. The cure is to run the faucet for a short time when first setting up and then bleach the faucet, before hooking up. Any water that then collects from whatever source will encounter the positive pressure of the water line and nothing will get into the hose to your camper. Then, to keep safe from accidents, when leaving completely disconnect the faucet first, before dumping the black tank. Having the sewer opening so close and above the water faucet is not unique to Deep Creek. A nearby VERY expensive, and popular, rv campground just a few miles away has a very similar arrangement. I do think Good Sam should look into requiring a better system for hookups with all their accreditations. Electricity is 50 amp ONLY. They gave me a temporary adapter and I guess they do that with everyone who lacks a 50 amp adapter, but you may want to check this. The bathrooms are located right next to the pool, I have a small trailer and like to use a faciity's bathroom whenever possible. The only gripe I have about this one is the absence of hooks to hold my shaving kit while shaving.

Deep Creek Campground is a hidden Gem near Swansboro, NC. There is a nice small pool, covered patio area, pay washers and driers (x2), and bathhouse near the front of the gated property. The management team was extremely nice and helpful throughout our stay. The bath area was clean. It is small. The men's room only had two showers, 1 stall, and a urinal but it was sufficient for this type of facility. This isn't a resort or KOA style setup but the slots are big enough, flat, and easy to park in.... Read More

If you want a well priced, clean, secure facility run by nice people, Deep Creek has you covered. Only 20 of the 100 sites are available for short stay and over nights, the rest are long stay residents. Don't let that scare you. This is a friendly community of RVers and I'd take my family back in a heartbeat... in fact, I likely will do just that.
