We stayed 5 nights in July with our 13 and 11 year old granddaughters. Absolutely beautiful area. Super nice people. There are campgrounds in Ruidoso that are closer into town but they feel like you are camping in a big parking lot with tight spaces. We wanted the grandkids to experience camping in the great outdoors and Bonito Hollow gives you that feeling. The river runs along the edge of the campground. Sites are gravel but were pretty level. They both made frequent rounds through the grounds checking on everyone, visiting and offering assistance with anything. No cell service or TV but we knew that going in. It's a short trip into Ruidoso and we picked up cell service less than a mile from the campground. Restrooms were always clean. We'll stay here again.

This is a really nice quiet park with large spaces, the park is in the foot hills with a stream running through one side of the park. The nights here are wonderful, have a nice fire and watch the stars. The park does not have tv but no parks in this area do, the park has a large selection of free DVD's to borrow. The WiFi was fine and the park is dog friendly. The bathrooms were fine but the showers could use a place to sit down or a chair. Some days the showers were clean and some days they needed... We were in a spot that didn't get the free WiFi and we were put next to the Pavilion. There were groups there for all 3 days and we were entertained with the "washers game" that was like having construction going on outside your house all day. Gave me a headache. I would have enjoyed the visit otherwise as we were near the river and had shade and the view was beautiful. They really need to build a fence separating the Pavilion from the sites next to them and extend the WiFi to cover the full... Read More

Great family owned park. Wonderful camp hosts. We live about 100 miles away and took our RV to the campground and left it for 3 months. We came up as often as we could and really enjoyed it. Dog friendly and very family friendly.
