Brand new RV Park in the heart of Dodge City. Enormous concrete pull thru sites could be more level sloping side to side. Lots of room between sites with lush grass lawns, picnic tables and firepits. Some of the sites are so big that the placement of the FHU pedestals all the way to the back is problematic. Very nice office housing laundry and showers. Wifi was sporadic, needing to use ATT hotspot on occasion. Although the park is located physically close to the main drag (Wyatt Earp Blvd,... Read More

Wifi was sporadic, needing to use ATT hotspot on occasion. Although the park is located physically close to the main drag (Wyatt Earp Blvd, where most of the attractions are) it's not really walkable with numerous very active railroad tracks to cross. We did ride our bike in and that worked well. Park is adjacent to a waterpark and zoo. Being new, GPS has problems routing into it. Coming from East GPS tries to take you down roads that don't go thru. Would suggest 14th street to Park Road from the West.much simpler and direct. Only real downside here are the frequent trains passing and blowing horns and many road crossings. For all the movie hype and dramatic sounding history, there really isn't much going on in this town. Boot Hill Museum is pretty much it, with a recreated Front street faØade and nice exhibits, describing the brief but colorful boomtown days in the 1870's. After the cattle drives stopped the town pretty much closed down except for farming, which is still the main local economy. We stayed 4 nights thinking that there would be more to see and do, but one or two days would be ample.
