For this being our first long distance trip from Boise, I’m extremely glad we stayed here. The scenery is gorgeous within the park (lots of trees and grass areas), excellent for dogs and the site we stayed in was perfectly level from the time we pulled in. Unfortunately our water heater wasn’t working so we had to use the showers on site and I was not disappointed, they were about 9/10 on cleanliness but water temp/pressure was excellent. Staff at check in was very friendly and courteous. It’s convenient that it’s behind a gas station because if you need any snacks, drinks or propane it’s just a short walk away. The only negative that I have to share is that the train is just on the other side of the highway and for whatever reason they enjoy blowing the horn and I will warn you this could happen at any hour of the day/night. We were in the back end of the park so it wasn’t completely drowning but you definitely know it’s there. If our travels ever bring us up this way again, I will not hesitate to stay here again.
The biggest problem is nearby train track that blow their horn at the intersection. It didn’t wake me up but very noticiblewven inside the RV. Close to US 95 so high on road noise when outside. Overall facility was nice.
This is a very spacious RV campground. Plenty of room between sites and lots of grassy areas. The campground itself I would rate as excellent as far as the sites are concerned. However the staff are VERY LAZY. Checking in was a chore for us and the staff member, apparently we got him just before his break and he let us and another couple know it. Another couple went to get propane and they said it was too dark to fill the tank (it was 8:30 in July). They got the tank filled the next day and the guy complained the whole time, an out of order sign soon after appeared on the large propane tank. I understand that the gas station is very busy however the staff are not the most ambitious people you will ever find. Another couple were walking by and told me that they told some people they had no spots left when you could clearly see 4-5 vacant sites. TOO LAZY TO CHECK THEM IN! The sites are great once you get there just don't expect much from the staff.
The grounds are nice and there are a variety of trees to give some privacy in delineate sites. The roads are generally in good shape. Our back-in site had fine dust with no grass, gravel or wood chips. I can't agree with the red star for the bathrooms. Although they were mostly in good shape, they weren't cleaned as often as they should have been. Nevertheless, overall, I enjoyed the resort and would go back up I was in the area.
