Spent a two day weekend. The place was packed. Security on the gate after hours. Store well stocked. Staff in store and office very courteous and helpful. Maintenance staff stopped by to check if we needed anything. Bath house tile floor and walls and very clean. Sites all paved except sites on lake. 50 amp power and water was good. One of the best weekends camping in a long time even though Saturday was cloudy and some rain when weatherman said it was to be 60 and sunny. Can't wait to go back and... Read More

Loved it and so did the dogs. We're planning returning very soon. The only down fall are the mosquitoes so make sure you have repellent. Gave the bathroom a 1 because we never used them. Very clean and staff very accommodating.

This RV resort was the absolute worst place we have ever stayed. They gave us a site with no trees. We were facing a fence that was right next to a train that ran and tooted its horn many times a night. For example: at 10:30 pm and 11:30 pm. The pictures and the ratings were totally inaccurate because it was a terrible place to stay. We are leaving tomorrow. Also, there are not any sites with a view. There was a marina but it was very far away. We aren't really into boats. We just wanted to relax.... Read More

Great views on the peninsula of Lake Allatoona BUT I encountered major issues with this campground. These amazing views could have made up for the park deficits though in my view were not sufficient to change my overall negative review. There are very few sites that have sewer hook-ups at this park. Every Tuesday, they have a service that costs $25 to dump both gray and black water tanks. Most of the sites are unpaved. Most sites are rather highly sloped. A great many of the sites are unpaved. The...

The restrooms were reasonably clean though not airconditioned. A few of the sites which seemed occupied by longer-term patrons were unkempt with personal belongings. The laundry facility had 3 working, older model, top loading washing machines and 3 very old functioning dryers. Patrons are largely rule-abiding, though they don't enforce the two-vehicle limit rule such that certain areas in the campground seemed like a parking lot. Sadly, I experienced a decidedly agitated patron in the laundry room who offered a direct physical threat. Having sought help from the management office, I was unable to feel comfortable that they would control the agitated man whose profanity and direct physical threats were of great concern. Feeling unsafe, I left the campground early without an offer of an apology by the campground or a refund for the days unused. I cannot recommend this campground.

Fairly nice facility, except for the train tracks that run right next to the campground. When we first arrived, we were given a space right behind the office. We had an issue backing into our spot and when we couldn't get our trailer level, we wanted to switch spots but no one was to be found, not even the security guard. After about 20 minutes of looking for him, he arrived at our spot and said it was ok to move. Honestly it wasn't worth the money we spent per night to hook up. We paid for... Read More

We paid for cable and wifi neither of which worked. The people across the way were up until all hours of the night and right as we started to fall asleep, a train would blare the horn. 20 minutes later, another train....at all hours of the night...and day. I wish I would have read that there was a train track right next to the facility because I would have never booked. I would have found a different place to park our trailer for a few days. I have a hard time getting to sleep and the trains just made it worse. All in all not the greatest experience. If you don't mind train horns all night long, this place is the place for you! Otherwise bring ear plugs.

Very nice facility, professional staff, even furnished a pet Goose ( Bob) for entertainment. Great access to Altoona Lake. Was aware of trains passing nearby.

Sites were level and paved, nice. Great access to water and boating. Close to restaurants and Tellus Science Museum. Staff was courteous and professional. Restrooms big and clean. Nice gated security access. The big negative is the trains!! If this CG was located away from them, it would get 10's. Every hour, you get to feel and hear the trains.
