I have been coming to aune osborne since i was little, this year they decided to change the reservation setup and you could no longerf reserve part in august and part of september until october 2023. this has made it impossiblefor me to get my normal reservation. This has greatly upset me and many others that i have talked to. The restrooms are not as clean as they used to be a few years ago and they are not keeping down the spider population. They sites and views are great but they have made... Read More

Stayed here to be close to the locks and the river. Sites are level with water and 30amp electric only. They have a 2 station dump station on the way out. It has potable water well away from the sewer and flushing water which is great. Very easy to get in and out and one of the best dump stations we have used. Some sites are right on the water but all sites have some view of the water. Sites are for the most part large and spacious with lots of room behind the sites for kids to run and play.... Read More

Our site had a long reach to the power, had to use a 30" extension, and the water which was on the wrong side of the coach but could reach with our 35' of hose. Even though we were in the front of the park away from the river we could see the water and ships going by. It was a short walk to the water for a closer look. There is a boat ramp next door and just past that is Rotary Park where you can walk to and get a close up view of the freighters as they enter the channel between Sugar Island and the mainland. Restrooms and showers were clean and you had to have a code to enter. Laundry room was clean and fairly priced. Camp hosts were great and provided a ton of info on the local area, restaurants, sites to see, etc. We would recommend Aune Osborn to everyone visiting the Soo area.

We were going to stay 4 nights but ended up staying a week. The campground is grass and well kept with large sites. Small laundry so we went into Up North Laundry which was excellent. Took the Agawa tour train, visited the Soo Locks and urban hiked downtown. Love sitting outside and watching the 1000 foot ships go by on the St. Mary's River. I would highly recommend this campground..$180/week

Would give 2.5 if allowed. Husband wanted to see the Soo Locks which is why we stayed here. And for that and watching the freighters passing by on the water , it was a good location. Also drove over into Canada which was nice. The campground is not paved and when we arrived, no one was at reception desk for several hours. When they arrived they were very nice, though. There was poor internet and it just lacked any character.

We stayed on Site 13 and the view of the river and cargo ships going up and down the river was awesome. The staff were friendly and the park very clean. I would definitely recommend this for anyone visiting the area.

This is our favorite campground in the summer in our home state of Michigan. We have been going there 10 years and have enjoyed being there every time. This park's calling card are the lake freightors that ply the Great Lakes shipping lanes. They pass by very closely as they turn downriver at the Sugar Island Ferry. The Soo Locks are one mile away west of the park. Ships are raised or lowered 26 feet depending on direction of travel. Another engineering marvel that may be viewed up close on the... Read More

Another engineering marvel that may be viewed up close on the last weekend of June while staying at the park. Everyone is friendly, staff and guests and also the citizens of Sault Ste.Marie. A very old city with a lot of history and things to see and do. Enjoy!!

The campground sits right on the shores of the St Mary's river leading to the locks. You will see many freighters traveling up or down the river. Great photo opportunities. The park does not have a lot of shade and they only offer water, electric and a dump station (no sewers on campsites). It offers great views of Canada. Take the Soo Locks boat tour, worth the price.
