Very accommodating manager and staff. A clean facility. My husband really liked the fact that there were restaurants and other businesses conveniently nearby. We had a great time visiting there.

We stayed here realizing the owner is trying to sell the place. The person checking us in was very courteous, took the cart n made sure we were parked and set up neighbors were very friendly. Kids were playing - people respectful with their dogs. Yes it needs some work. We have traveled the past 7 months been in 5 star places and were treated as just another traveler. Someone may want to buy this place and jazz it up however keep the atmosphere

This place is a death trap. When we arrived, our site had deed tire ruts and there was water everywhere. We decided to leave the trailer attached to the tow vehicle and leveled the trailer with a "jackrabbit." As we were preparing to leave, I knelt on a concrete slab to pick up the "jackrabbit." The slab pivoted and my left leg fell into a water filled pit, scraping my leg as I went down. I was unable to pull myself up because of the slab. My wife and son and a neighboring camper helped me out... Read More

My wife and son and a neighboring camper helped me out of the pit. Although my leg went in up to the hip, about 4 feet, my foot never touched bottom. I have no idea how deep the pit was. Had I been a child or a dog, I'd be dead. Had to wake the owner, who has an RV on the premises. We found out that the pit was an abandoned, rain filled septic tank and there were several on the property. The showers were mediocre, at best, and the toilet was clogged. Called paramedics for first aid. The police officer who came asked, "What am I doing here?" Owner was rather disorganized. This place should be shut down for safety reasons. Good Sam should terminate their membership.

Very tight spots. Lots of permanents, place for weary travelers, no wifi or tv, satellite is a no go. Will stop in rest area or truck stop next time. Anything but a big rig motorhomes are very tight and very hard to get in morning as residents aren 't up and about till 9 am. I can't figure out how GS reps could give them such a good rating?

Good Sam I cannot believe you are connected to this disgusting RV park. It is not big rig friendly as it has tight corners and vehicles parked on the roadways so you can't get in or out. Everything is in a state of disrepair. Worst RV park in four months of camping.

Located just off major commercial road in St Joseph. Didn't look like much when we drove in. Quite a few long-term renters in the park. However, our site was very nice. It was actually a back-in site with another site immediately behind it, but since no one was in the other site, we could pull thru. Nicely shaded site with full hook ups. Not very wide - neighbors close by, but OK. Only 2 bathrooms. Like a residential bathroom with toilet, lavatory and shower all in one room. Clean. Did not shower... Read More

We were a little disappointed. The downtown retail area has been hollowed out by the big box stores and chains in the suburbs. Pony Express museum was interesting. There is a casino there if that interests you. Parking for our tow was on the road in front of our RV, not on the site. Not a great park, but not bad.

I can't believe GS has given this park these ratings. They need to visit soon! Do not stay here if you have any other choice. The office is littered with cigarette butts and the place reeks of smokers. The sites are so tight you have to park your car on the road. There are pick ups everywhere and it is impossible to get a big rig out in the mornings before all the workers leave the park. It is old and run down nothing appealing about it at all. Lots of permanents with delapated trailers. Scary at... Read More

If you have other options, don't stop here. Now we know what sardines feel like! Be advised that the campground is for sale so maybe that is why the facilities are so bad. Seems like most of the spaces were occupied by seasonal units, some in better shape than others. WIFI, it's there but good luck with it staying with you very long. Just an overall bad feeling about the place.

Many long term residents. Many people parking on street make it VERY difficult to park your coach. No real pull through sites. There are back to back sites and if you arrive at the correct time and the spot behind you is empty, then you can pull through. I pulled through on my site and dragged the rock guard off the back of my coach on the dip between the two sites. If it rains a lot the sites hold water.

Old RV park that is really a "trailer park" with permanent RVs instead of mobile homes. There are, therefore, so many extra vehicles that they are parked all along both sides of the park's roads. We had no reservation but got a full hook-up, pull-thru with a deteriorating concrete drive, a small patio, and a little grass. But each pull-thru was designed for two RVs back to back, so another RV backed in behind us a hour or so later. The next morning we had to ask the permanent next-door RV owner... Read More

Small but very accommodating park right in St. Joseph. Don't trust Good Sam directions as they will take you where you don't want to go. (Narrow streets with low hanging trees) Call the park office and ask. Good internet and cable TV.
