Beautiful grounds. Big trees with Spanish moss. Looks like a painting. Lots were spacious and well kept. Pool was fun for the kids. Bathrooms were decent. The only bad thing was that the cable TV was snowy. Checked all my cables, but were good. Other visitors were experiencing the same thing. We'll definately come back.
We stayed at this campground for the first time Dec 27-31, 2020. Check-in was bumpy in that they had us for 3 nights, not 4. Manager said it would be a problem adding a night as they were full. F- for the ability to get out of this campground and internet. Never seen a highway so clogged, but there is a major stoplight close to entrance. Problem is that you must take a right turn to get anywhere.
The campground is very nice with lots of open space. We were in 50 amp pull through site with someone on either side. Nice dog fenced-in play yard. Very close to Publix - if you want to traverse the roadway to get there.
Would put this one on our list to stay again on a different spot. We were under a huge tree (which would be nice in the summer) but interfered with satellite. Hardly NO internet ... really bad.
There was lots of leaf blowing and mowing going on which was annoying but tolerable. No fire pits.

Nice enough campground but come on! Can't you have some common sense? We had our trailer stored for one day before we occupied the space, I'm talking to the manager about our upcoming week stay and after stopping for our permanent spot, my wife went ahead to the stored trailer while the manager watched me try to give her the window pass. You WILL get speed bump fatigue after about one trip into the campground. and leaving the facility you have to beg S.C. 17 traffic to let you in or out 5am to 7 pm.
Don't be fooled. it seems like you go far away from the busy highway when you enter the campground but bees ferry road is right behind the campground and it's fairly noisy with trucks and motorcycles at night, all night, And don't forget the train every night at around 3 am sounding 5 mandatory warning horns for imaginary cars in the intersection nearby.
Finally, upon leaving yes, i admit, It was 11:15 and checkout is at 11:00 so I was little late due to having some technical problems winterizing my RV. I handed my pass to the manager and she reminded me that checkout was at 11:00. really? You're at 20% capacity, no one is waiting in line for my spot, no need to clean the room or fire pit.
I dropped about $600 at your campground. you would think, I'd hear " thanks for staying with us! Have a nice trip! Come back soon! No.
"You do know that checkout is 11:00?

We loved this campground and its proximity to shopping and historic Charleston. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The grounds were well maintained. This is a big piece of property with a lot of lawn to cut. It always looked neat. The pool area was also very neat and clean. This is definitely big rig friendly. We highly recommend this campground. We were in site OO5...plenty of room for a 42' fifth wheel and a dually to park back to back.
Dirty mattress at side of road after entering campground extremely low water pressure very poor electrical amperage for our 30-amp camper upon checkout, attendant was smoking a cigarette and was nasty with it (my wife and I do not smoke!)... We will not be back...
This is such a beautiful Campground, easily accessible and delightfully wooded! We enjoyed our two evenings and we're grateful for the assistance of Staff in guiding us through this new experience.

Stayed 3 nights. Staff was polite and helpful. Gave us a map for easy access to everything we wanted to see--the reason is a left turn into the park at rush hour is a challenge due to heavy traffic not the turn itself, but all the turns out to siteseeing are right hand turns. Main road is asphalt with several speed bumps. Going slow is not a problem for me. The sites are gravel but very firm and not too close together. They have a lot of sites. Most with full hook ups. We loved everything about the camp ground except the 2 office employees we delt with When we first arrived my wife jumped out of the truck and asked if they had a restroom the desk clerk said how about your rv in a real sarcastic tone . Then on our last day we decided maybe we would add another day .We Inquired at the office we were told we would have to move spots . The campground wasn't close to being full .These two employees put a dark cloud over an otherwise happy trip .
Traveling full-time in a 38-foot coach we stayed 7-nights in a site for big rigs (site #NN1 - Pd $57.71 night) This was our first visit here. We've stayed in over 400 RV Parks and as far as WIFI goes, this RV park places in the Top Ten! We give this park 5-Stars for the fantastic WIFI! Our AT&T phones worked great here too. Big coaches need a gravel pad, so we also give this RV Park a 5-star rating for the thick gravel pad. Some RV Parks also have very narrow roads which make backing up very difficult, we found this park to have plenty of room to maneuver our coach. Some RV Parks are so dusty that one has to clean their coach after a stay, but not here, the dust on our coach was very minimal compared to many other parks. Our satellite did receive reception. Plenty of room to walk your dog here. This is a nice place to stay and we recommend it!

This facility was very clean and well maintained. The staff were very helpful when asked questions and very personable. The dog run was spacious and had a lot of shade and grass! I would recommend staying here. We stayed 11/21/18-11/25/18 it was a bit chilly for Charleston this time of year however we had one day that was warm. They are close to the beaches and downtown. I highly recommend this campground!
This was a very pleasant place to stay. We stayed there 3 nights and did some RV maintenance while there and visited several attractions in the area. Sites were good sized and staff was very friendly and helpful. Would stay here again when traveling through area.

The signal was so poor at our site that we could not get a solid enough connection to even check email. Other than that, this was a great campground.

We stayed here for most of a week to enjoy the Charleston area and this park is well located for that purpose. It is near fuel, groceries, restaurants and a main route into Charleston. That said, it is very difficult to get in and out of the park due to heavy traffic and proximity to an intersection. Also if more than a couple of rigs arrive at the same time there it can be difficult to get into the park off the road. It is a very nice park. We were in a section that was all paved and fairly level. The space was long and wide (we have slides on both sides). Park appears to be well maintained and very clean. Trash bins were available at the end of each row but recycle bins were far from RV sites. The bathrooms were clean but not enough for the size of this park (lines each time we wanted to shower). Only two washers & two dryers for the entire park (was glad I could wait to do laundry). We would most likely stay again as it's a nice park and recommend it with a caution about street access, shower and laundry limitations.

Quick and easy check in Very clean, flat and quiet. Sites higher than JJ will hear highway noise, there is actually less noise closer to 17. One side is boat sales and Publix, the other side is cattle grazing so no noise from there. Most sites are pull thru. Handy for visiting Charlestown and close enough to consider for Savannah.
The grounds are nice but the bathhouses are 10 years past need for remodel. The toilets rock and never saw a cleaning in two weeks there. counters and sinks are rusting and the hand driers look and act 20 years old. One wall AC unit the blows warm air. Nice desk help.
Campground was very nice and clean. The sites were a little closer than I like. In the section we stayed in there were not many trees but other parts of the park had plenty of shade. They are crazy about their 10 MPH speed limit. I got up to 12 mph once without noticing and one of their employees tried to chase me down on a golf cart. I think his actions were very reckless. We have stayed at many campgrounds and this is the worst because The lots are bad lots for your camper because there's standing water which causes mosquitoes no air conditioning in one of the bath houses and there very old outdated and very very hot the pool is at a very busy road and because of you can't hardly get out of the camp ground because of the excessive traffic and has very few amenities I would not recommend this place
This RV Park was clean and well maintained with grass and trees and plenty of space in the site Close enough to Charleston to see the sights without the traffic to get through. Staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful We loved our stay
This is one of the finest RV facilities we have stayed in. The grounds are well kept and clean. The people in the office are very nice
Nice and clean. Decent size spots. Bath houses were fairly clean and in good condition. The pool was kind of strange because its on a busy highway but still not bad. We didn't get a chance to check out the pond for fishing. Overall not a bad place and nice and close to our house, perfect for a staycation!
Stayed in our 40' fifth wheel in April of 2017. We started our stay on a Saturday that was very busy because of spring break. The Hwy 17 entrance was very difficult and dangerous to get into from the eastbound lane. I wish that someone had given us directions to go around and come in from the East. If internet is important to you be aware that, although they list the internet as high speed, it definitely isn't. Unless you connect early in the morning, say 5:00 a.m. or so, it is almost impossible to get on or check your e-mail. The lower tv channels were clear but as you went higher the picture quality went quickly downhill. Those would be the only negatives that I thought were important. On a positive note, the park is very close to Charleston and all its attractions.

This was a great park! Nice clean dog park, shady sites with picnic tables. I would recommend staying on the right/east side of the park to get away from road noise (the double letter rows would be quieter). The wifi was unsecured, which is the only reason that I gave them 4/5 on facility rating. Otherwise, I recommend it!
I wish all campgrounds were like this
We went to this campground because our other reservations were cancelled due to Matthew. They were the only campground that returned our call. Nice place with good level sites and trees.
Good, shady sites, easy access to Charleston area. Office staff was very helpful suggesting local places I would not have found on my own. Easy to see why this is a top-rated GS park.
