Park is just ok, be careful when booking as some sites have concrete pads and others don’t. Advertise wifi but when you get here it’s not working and no idea when. Laundry is very small and restrooms are a little dated.
The staff was friendly. The park was very trashed. We had 3 rigs traveling together. All of our fire pits were full of trash. There are many long term residents, a very noisy dog across from us. Staff did not seem to care. Bathrooms not clean although the showers were not bad. Only 1 of the 2 washers worked. They do have a shuttle to area attractions which was nice. No discount for a group of 6.
Stayed for 1 night. Entering the Park to check in looked nice. That's the only good thing to say. We had a back in site. Our travel trailer barely fit. After setting up I had to leave our truck halfway in the road. Site was messy. Seems to be a lot of full timers here. Most of their sites were cluttered and unsightly. There is no Pet Park for Dogs. The roads were narrow and filled with potholes and cars and trucks parked everywhere. Hooking up the next morning was a nightmare. I had to wake up... Read More

Hooking up the next morning was a nightmare. I had to wake up the Full Timer across from us so I could get a good angle to back up to my trailer. We paid $72.00 for one night. Expected a nicer place for what we paid. Shame on the Mess !

This campground is very tightly compacted with each campsite on top of each other. No space at all. The spot we stayed in was not level and mosquitoes were plentiful. Roadways need the potholes fixed. They need to reduce the number of spaces so as to space people out some and give a bit of maneuvering room. The only good point I can say is that people in the campground were respectful of the time limits for being out and making noise.
We were in need of an overnight stay some place with with a pool. The lady at the front desk was SO friendly. She even offered to keep it open later so the grandkids would have enough time in the pool to wear them out.
Cahokia RV Park is located right off a street in an industrial area and there is a lot of traffic noise from diesel trucks, nearby trains, and planes flying low over the camp. It is like a parking lot with very little grass or trees. Sites are very close. We had no picnic table or room to set out our chairs. We were between 2 large motor coaches which completely hemmed us in. The only positive thing was a friendly staff person who checked us in. We would not stay here again.
We highly recommend! Ok, let me start by saying this was our very first day ever to RV! We got a late start and was trying to find a stopping place for the night. DO NOT book anywhere without knowing their hours, I booked a place online and as soon as I paid it gave me their hours and we was not going to make it. Cahokia RV Park was a little closer than we hoped to go but still late. They worked with us and let us book the reservation and come on in. The spot was very easy to back into, no congestion... The spot was very easy to back into, no congestion around it, easy access, no issues getting hooked up, and we had a great night. Even though we did not stay lone, I did wash around and they have great amenities and a bbq restaurant right there. They were so very nice and accommodating.

Was planning on only staying 2 nights but do to a mechanical issue we had to stay a week waiting for parts and repairs. Management was very accommodating in extending our reservation. The hookups were all in great condition and easily accessible. Facilities are clean and well maintained. The pool was one of the cleanest I've seen. One suggestion would be to create an enclosed dog run area. Many places we stayed at had an off leash enclosed area were our dogs could play. Improving WiFi bandwidth... Read More

It was a struggle to work during my stay do to slow internet speeds.
Overall, excellent caring management and staff. Very friendly and helpful. Long term tenants were also friendly.

awesome
Traveling in a 38 foot coach we stayed 3 nights in a site for big rigs. Also most sites are small (dirt/gravel) and most sites back up to one another. Almost the whole park is long term tenets, fast driving tenets too. If you are looking for a park where you can sit outside your rv and relax... look somewhere else. The good side: If you plan to visit St. Louis there is not any other place closer than Cahokia RV Parque, and if you look at the convenience of staying close to the city then this place... Read More

The technology is here for wifi, there is nothing to stop this Park from investing in doing wifi properly. For some users, such as ourselves, wifi is the single most important feature in any RV Park. We left one day early because of the wifi. We were not reimbursed! Never again!

We called ahead of our arrival and reserved a full hook up pull through site. We arrived at 4:30 pm. The park was easy to find and access was easy. We were pulling a 26' travel trailer and requested the pull through site as we wanted to stay hooked up to our truck for an early departure the next morning. We were directed to our site and discovered that it had two hook up stations with water and electric only with differing numbers on each end of the alleged pull through site. As I pondered how to... We were pulling a 26' travel trailer and requested the pull through site as we wanted to stay hooked up to our truck for an early departure the next morning. We were directed to our site and discovered that it had two hook up stations with water and electric only with differing numbers on each end of the alleged pull through site. As I pondered how to hook up to the services on the numbered site assigned I realized that I would not be able to reach the services as they were too far from my trailer connections unless I pulled the trailer all the way to the end of the site and unhitched my truck. As I pondered the dilemna a park employee approached me on a golf cart and informed me that I was correct.that I needed to unhitch my vehicle and park elsewhere since they usuually parked two units to a site. I suggested that it wasn't really a pull through site then but a "pull in site only". Then I noticed there was no sewer connection and we had asked for full hookup as the website stated. I was told that they were all filled. I then asked the location of the dump station and was told they didn't have one and that I would need to find an empty site with sewer in the morning and back into it to dump. So much for an early departure. When I questioned the employee about what their understanding of a pull through site was he just shrugged and drove off. He was polite and appeared to understand our dilemna but offered no solution but he did convey my concerns to the office person we had reserved the site through. I decided to back my unit up occupying the full space and connect to the water and electric service I could reach. Apparently we were the last to check in as no one challenged us for any part of the site. was assured that there would be plenty of spaces as many travelers would be leaving early. We left at 8:30 am and there were no empty sites. Needless to say we carried our waste to our next stop without dumping. It appeared that most sites were taken by long term occupants. All of the sites were very close with barely room to extend an awning. We did not rate the bathrooms as we did not use them. In summary they do not gave as many sites available as they advertise. They have no dump station. Most sites are occupied by long term occupants. They really don't have any full hook up pull through sites.

nothing good to say about the campground but the bar-b-Que restaurant is a 10
As a first time camper I really had no idea what to expect only that finding reputable RV parks is not that easy. For a friendly, clean, easy access resort this is it. As I am learning many parks have "residential" sites that can be less appealing to the overall park but in my case, as a transient heading to Colorado, the park suited us just fine. Easy shuttle to the Arch and attractions in St Louis made the trip all that much easier. The staff could not have been friendlier and more attentive.... Read More

We called and asked if we could arrive a day earlier than our reservation. There was no problem at all. The campground is not one of the nicest that we used during the trip but was well located for access to downtown. We spent two nights and enjoyed our stay. Make plan to visit the BBQ restaurant at the park, it is really good. We would recommend a visit to the Cahokia Mounds site, it was really interesting.
Bare minimum/average park. $10 for washing and drying two loads of clothes.
Came in after hours about 9pm for just the night and directions to our site were where we expected them to be. Unfortunately someone was in our campsite so we chose another that did not have sewer. We couldn't tell until we parked because there is no lighting past the office. The water in the back is still and a huge mosquito pond. Used our fire extinguisher when another camper had a fire and the office does not sell them to replace ours. That would be a handy item to have for sale. Packed and a... Read More

Small park....which was good....check in was easy and attendant was very nice. The BBQ place smelled AMAZING and we were sad to hear they close at 8 AND are closed on Sundays....so we didn't get to enjoy that. No playground open, no pool open (it was gross looking)...sewage pond in back that smelled horrible. No picnic tables or anything....you basically got dirt to park on and that was it. Very unimpressive. Wouldn't stay here again for sure.
I travel all over the US from April till around October chasing hail storms and I stay in a lot of RV parks. You can not always believe what someone else writes, this park is quite, great location and a outstanding staff. I have been here for over a month getting ready to head out to the next storm and my experience with this campground has been outstanding. Great food at the Saw Mill was a great kicker. You can not go wrong staying here a night or a few nights, my 40 foot 5th parked it with easy... Read More

Great friendly place to stay. Owners and workers were the best. We were new to the RVing scene and they were fantastic with info and help. Great BBQ restaurant on site. Close to St. Louis and all the sights.
Pros - Easy in. Restaurant on premises "Sawmill BBQ" good food reasonably priced. They gave us 2 spaces for 44' pull thru with tow, 50 amp. We would not fit otherwise. Cons - Road noise. Trains. Patio slabs and picnic tables need work. Not kid friendly. Check in - the receptionist decided it was a good time to clean her cardex of old reservations in the middle of checking me in so I had to wait - there was no reason she couldn't do that after I left the office since I was the only person checking... Overnite stop on my way to Florida. Easy to get to from the interstate. Staff was very helpful by staying open a little late, so I could fill a propane tank. A nice surprise was the BBQ restaurant on site (Sawmill BBQ). Internet connection was very good.
From the clerk to the muddy, small sites to the area of town, none of it was good. We could not fit into any of the sites she offered, even though we had told her our fifth wheel size when we made the reservation. The clerk also answered the phone when we were trying to check in, and took a long phone call while we stood there and waited. Overall, it is a terrible park; in fact, we left and went to another campground.
This park is overrated by Good Sam. The hosts were nice and it is close to St. Louis but it is poorly maintained. I would rate this park a 5. The pool was green and grass was growing through the pad. The broken down picnic table was situated on a broken concrete slab. This park appears to have many long term tenants. If you have another choice, take it.
Not the nicest area of town nor the best maintained campground we've been at, but it's 10 minutes from downtown St-Louis and the hosts are very nice and responsive. We didn't use the bathrooms but visited them and they were clean.
We stayed for one night on a multi-day trip. Although we did not meet the hosts, all our communications (email and phone) were great. Easy access from nearby interstate highways. No need to worry about the nearby airport or railroads-- the noise was hardly noticeable. A water problem in our area of the park was repaired promptly, within the same hour it was reported. A pleasant island of serenity close to a major city.
Don't pass this one up just coz it's not fancy from the road. We have stayed here twice now. Everyone is nice and friendly. Spots are wide enough for the biggest of rigs though we travel in an old small Airstream Travel Trailer. There is an area to walk you doggies but not an enclosed pen area. Hot clean secure showers. BBQ restaurant right on the premises. Good for overnight or month long stays. Recommend paying by the month if you plan to stay 2 1/2 weeks or more.
