This is a campground for children. There are themed activities, face painting, bounce house, tie dying of tee shirts, and a man in a moose costume. Not the Alaskan wilderness experience. Great Idea, I just wanted to sit by creek, listen to the quiet of nature, but it wasn't possible. The water way is constantly streaming with tubes and kids, no privacy. Maybe they should just focus on that group The bathhouse is just sad. Too old too dirty.
Dirty, loud. Road is awful, campsites awful. Unsupervised kids, dogs running wherever they pleased. Ugh... I gave the park a one because you have to give it something
Owner operated so immediate response to any and all concerns! This is the best campground in all of Alaska! It gives the feel of wilderness camping with very easy access even for the largest fo rigs. Almost every single site is on the meandering creek flowing thru the property. Even the pull Thru sites. clean FLAT sites with fire ring and table at each site. The property sits a little less than 1 mile off of the highway so no road noise. The creek is full of small trout for easy fishing if you wish.... Read More

The creek is full of small trout for easy fishing if you wish. The creek is perfect for wading and or playing in. There are a couple of holes with water about 4 to 5 feet deep for simple swimming. Highly recommended for folks traveling with kids! They even have fun activities on the weekends to keep kids entertained.

A wonderful campground with every RV and tent site next to the stream. Hiking, fishing, a wilderness experience and much more. There is a good selection of campsites that will allow you to be as near or far from "activity" as you choose. A new family recently purchased this campground and are dedicated to retaining the wonderful experience it offers. Well worth staying at least 2 nights, or longer, if you are looking to rest a bit while traveling Alaska. Even worth staying just one night if in the... Read More

Well worth staying at least 2 nights, or longer, if you are looking to rest a bit while traveling Alaska. Even worth staying just one night if in the "on the move mode".
We were fortunate enough to see 4 river otters (all at once) that were exploring the stream - they were gone the very next day looking for new adventures. A very exciting sighting when looking for Alaska wildlife - more diversity = great for tourism and the environment.
The campground is a short drive in from the highway, no more than 5 minutes. Just far enough in to dampen any highway noise.
Our stay here exceeded our expectation!

Heavily treed with space between most of the campsites. Water and electric with a central dumpsite. The roads are below average due to potholes. The pads are stone/gravel with a varying degree of level. The restrooms and showers are close to only a few of the sites and distant for many of the sites. Each campsite is next to the stream so very appropriate for an Alaskan RV experience. Campsite #9 is a large pull through with a nice setting on the river bank. The appeal to the facility is the... The appeal to the facility is the rustic nature, trees, relative privacy and stream. The campsite is well away from the town so you are on your own for entertainment.
The Good Sam rating is indicative, however, it misses the ambience of the setting.

Rate unknown as we were traveling as part of a prepaid caravan. This is the kind of park that were expecting in Alaska. Heavily treed in a wilderness setting with 30 amp and water service. Most sites are creekside - a few were pullthru. Most parks in Alaska are cramped gravel parking lots with few trees and little grass. Given the creek and trees there are mosquitoes - spray with deet before going out. We would definitely come back and stay more nights.
