This campground is in a good location, near Carlisle (which was important to us for our 10 day stay). The pool is nice sized, and there are laundry facilities and shower/bathrooms right next to the pool. (Laundry/bathhouse is not air conditioned though....)4 The staff is top notch, very friendly and accommodating. Our gripes were mostly comfort based. *Sites are very close together and there isn't much room to park even one vehicle on the site. *The water hook-ups serve 2 different campsites, our... Read More

Our gripes were mostly comfort based. *Sites are very close together and there isn't much room to park even one vehicle on the site. *The water hook-ups serve 2 different campsites, our particular site had water hook up on the wrong side of where we needed to hook into the RV (our 25 ft hose wasn't long enough, so we had to go buy a 50 ft hose at Walmart in order to hook up water). *ZERO analog or digital tv channel reception (we have a built in digital antenna and got nothing). *WiFi is available, but it's very weak and unreliable (I had trouble loading and updating the weather app on my phone at times, and it kept bumping us off when we were trying to load internet pages on the laptop.) *The bathrooms/showers are not air conditioned, but they are clean. *The laundry room is right in the same bldg as the bathrooms/showers. It was rather hot in there, so we trekked to a local air conditioned Laundromat instead, to do our laundry. *Mini golf is not free... $3/18 hole game, which we were pretty disappointed about. Looks like a nice course, but we weren't about to pay extra for it. *There are a good amount of permanent campers there, but they do keep their sites fairly tidy. *Lots of grassy areas and it's a nice wooded location, maybe some updates needed to increase the comfort levels for campers though, a little TLC would go a long way! Lastly, If you're looking for convenience to Carlisle and I-81, this is a great location, just don't expect any extras, and there are NO Refunds either (clearly stated in the campground map/pamphlet, and in the office).

The great staff at this park helped us when we had problems on the road during a big rainstorm! They get a BIG vote of confidence from us for their customer satisfaction and super support!

Charming campground located at the back of a neighborhood in Carlisle, PA. Website said they had a two night minimum but they were most accommodating during a one-night stay while awaiting service for a mechanical issue. Also concerned about campers welfare at check-in during a severe weather event - gave us instructions for nearest safe building and loudspeaker announced a timely tornado warning. Never happened but appreciate the diligence. Full service hook-up was as advertised-20,30,50 amp. OTA... Read More

This is a big wooded campground with about 30% seasonal/permanent residents in very nice sites. Nice extras included: pool, mini-golf, jumping pillow and hand dipped Hershey's Ice Cream - YUM! We camped at Western Village RV Park in a Motorhome.

We have stayed here many times as it is so very handy from the highway and a good distance between destinations. Park is very nice with lots of trees. The sites are a little tight but ok. Very clean and pet friendly. Nice store. Our biggest complaint is the price which is $47.00 per night in October. We paid much less at a 5 star park further south. Overall though we swallow our pride and pay the price as the park fits our needs in every other way. Nice pool too and fun activities in summer.

Granted, we were there July 4th week, but we called in MARCH to reserve a site. We asked for a pull thru and quiet. We got RIGHT by the pool entrance where there was CONSTANT foot traffic, kids and noise, no pull thru and packed in like sardines. These were the smallest and most crowded sites we have seen in all our travels and the people kept their campfires going 24 hours a day (It was 85 degrees!). Wait until at least sunset people! An absolute haze settled over the whole area and everyone and every RV smelled of smoke. The gentleman (gatekeeper up front) was very nice and helpful. Carlisle and Gettysburg were fun. I just think they need to spread out their sites a little and move the permanent campers away from the pool area.
