Perfect place to stop for a night. Nice and quiet. Owners are very nice. There is no cable or TV service to speak of, and wifi is a bit weak. But the quiet makes up for the lack of technology.
I AM NOT A HAPPY CAMPER!: The park is nice enough, but I was denied my discount because I didn't "ask for it" when I checked in. I had discussed it when I called for a reservation and, when I checked in, I was handed a form to fill out, then she asked me if I wanted any firewood "because we can't run a credit card for less than $5" if I wanted it later. I said no, and she ran my card and handed me the receipt for the full amount. I said, "what about my discount". She said, "Sorry, I can't credit... Read More

I said, "look at me--I'm obviously old" (because they have a senior discount) and I have a Good Sam membership but she never asked.

By the way, the wireless internet is slow and barely usable.

This was our first camping stay with a new unit and novice campers. The facility was nice, pet friendly, encouraging staff and a good beginning experience.
We were just passing through and checked in late at night. We had called ahead for reservations and the lady left us directions to a nice easy pull through. We had hydro and water and we dumped in the station on the way out. Very nice quiet place easy to get to off I70. Wonderful, helpful people. We checked out the next day and will stay here again when we are needing a nice place to stay.
Stayed for two nights. Nice Good Sam park, close to the highway, safe environment and easy to get to. Staff was very friendly and would recommend to others.
Great spot level sites close to the highway and very friendly couple running the park. Room for any kind of rig would stay here again
The campground was fine. We had no television reception at all, but other than that it was a place I would stop again.
Love love love this campground. We had a small issue with our camper and the staff came over and fixed it for us at no cost. They were the most friendly and helpful staff I've experienced in my 26 years of camping! Any time I am traveling interstate 70 Okaw Valley Kampground will be a must stay for every trip.
We stayed here for one night on our way north. Very nice staff. They were sold out due to the eclipse, but still very accommodating and friendly. We had a small problem with our camper and one of the staff was happy to check it out. Sites are close together and a little tight getting in and out of, but manageable. Nice pool. Clean bathrooms.
Nice park, we were only there one night passing through. The lady that checked us in was very friendly, nice to have a pleasant person check you in after a long hard drive.
Staff was very helpful and courteous, they are working constantly to improve the place (it needs some work), the pond is still full of green stuff but the pool is nice the shade provided by the trees is welcome in Illinois summer, and sites are relatively easy to get in and out of. Keep in mind that not all spots have full hookups.
