There are several desirable features about this park. The pool is clean, hot water in showers is hot, there are several trails to walk on (bring hiking boots!), play grounds for kids and the lake is nice. The bathhouses are clean and well maintained. The negatives are: the bathhouses are very dated and shower stall space is limited, one ‘full’ shower in the bathhouses I saw, with a bench, the other stall had a smaller shower and the bench placed outside the shower curtain. No place to hang clothes,... Read More

No place to hang clothes, towels, etc. Water points are few, but have threaded faucets for hoses. Finally, for several days the water, while potable, had a large amount of iron particles. We let this settle in our containers and drank the water, a camper we talked to drove several miles just to get bottled water. The park administration was not particularly upset about this, but agreed that an rv’s water system might be adversely affected by the sludge. My guess is that they were cleaning out the system and it might be wise on arrival to fill a clear container first and see what the water looks like. We will return to the park. If you have a trailer approaching from the west on I-64 don't use the Good Sam route using Harts Run Rd but get off at Lewisburg on rte 219 south, to rte 3.
