Unless you have your Good Sam card in your hand forget about a discount. Showers clean but not much bigger than an RV shower. Upon checking in they asked if I wanted to stay 2 nights instead of 3 I had reserved. So, I accepted the 2 night as she hinted. Good campground back up in the canyon - I could see the sand storms out in the valley.

The check-in was very accommodating. We were able to change our site to a pull-thru. The site was awesome. It has high rock formations on both sides. The sunrise and sunsets are beautiful. I would highly recommend this RV park.

The Monument Valley Tribal Park was closed during our stay so although they are offering “modified” tours we didn’t even consider it because they are pricey and from my research offered nothing beyond what you could easily see by car or foot. The staff was not very friendly, especially on checking in at 5pm and asking to extend our stay by one night. We stayed for 2 nights which was plenty of time at this facility. Like others said, the hookup sites are not level, are very close to one another... Read More

Like others said, the hookup sites are not level, are very close to one another and combined very near the tent locations. The restrooms were only accesible with a key card, the BBQ grills are terribly filthy and the dog park is nothing but a dirt arena across the road from the camp park. There are a couple of short hikes right from the campground that offered breathtaking views. We ate at the restaurant but I wouldn’t recommend it, it was nothing more than cafeteria food and a very disappointing, rundown ambiance with a good view. My overall review of this RV Park is that the entire appeal is the location and surrounding area but the facility itself is very lacking.

This a quiet campground with views of Monument Valley. There are trees for shade and the showers are very clean. The restrooms were not quite as well maintained as the showers but were acceptable. The staff was very helpful and the location was great. Plenty of RV supplies in the little store but it could use a few more food items beyond junk food. All in all a great camping spot.

Worst campsite in our month long trip. Our site was not even on their map, had dog waste in it, BBQ was filthy. We walked the entire camp area, sites are mostly dirt sprinkled with gravel and on a slope. It was very crowded with most sites having RV's that barely fit. Gift shop, laundry room and pool area were clean and attractive. Beautiful area to explore but would not stay here again. Good Sam needs to reevaluate their rating.

Sites are dirt/gravel, and not level. Place could use maintenance. Check in C/S not all that friendly. Expensive for facility but beautiful location. Be sure to visit museum.

4 4 out of 5 stars 05/20/2019

Beautiful setting. Beautiful views. Overall rating of 4 because site was not completely level and we were told not to leave our stuff out. The office had bars on the windows so that was our first clue. No incidents during our stay though. Park is medium size. Wifi was ok. Restrooms clean but not enough for the size of the park which includes large tenting area. The men's stall had no lock. Check-in staff was friendly enough. Would stay here again.

Stayed September in 35' class A with toad. Short, not too level pull through. Had to disconnect to fit in space. Tight park. It is located in a beautiful valley a short drive to monument valley. Park is tidy and fairly quiet. Did not use any of the facilities, but it appears you could stay for a few days and have enough to keep you busy. No pet area. Some of us travel by motorhome specifically to be able to take our pets with us. The was NO area where you could take your dog to use the... Read More

We stayed 3 nights and the view was awesome. We didn't use the restroom facilities. Staff very helpful. We had a tree branch interfering with our awning and they came and removed it. The park is located in a canyon with walking trails that were easy to walk. We would stay here again.

There aren't a lot of choices for RV parks in Monument Valley. There's a pitiful looking KOA, an RV park inside Monument Valley and Goulding's. Goulding's has a long history in Monument Valley with an extensive collection of facilities: lodge, restaurant, gift shop, grocery, gas station, casitas and the RV park. The park is in a lovely location, however, it is on a fairly steep hill. It seems that when an RV park is located on a steep grade they almost never get the site pads level. That's... Read More

That's the case here. Getting level is a bit challenging. The driveways are asphalt and the site pads are gravel and dirt. We had a pull-thru with full hookups, 50 amp electric, a picnic table, fire pit and a nice view. There is a cable TV connection but we didn't use it and there's free WiFi but we found it to be suboptimal. We were not able to get Verizon 4G data service here. If you are interested in a tour of Monument Valley, Goulding's has tours that pick up at the campground. We heard from others that their pricing is quite good compared to other options. We took the early morning Deluxe tour and enjoyed it. We paid $56.83 per night with Good Sam discount.

Sites were gravel and level. Big rigs had to work a bit to get into their spaces which were a little tight for them. Restrooms and showers were clean but worn. Sites do have fire rings and cable worked fine. Site staff were friendly and helpful and there are several things to see in the area. Grocery store nearby is the only place for supplies and food for 30 miles.

This was our destination for our trip out West, and we couldn't have picked a better place to stay 3 nights at. This area is a natural wonder, so many beautiful things to see both far and near. We hiked around the campground and were surprised to see a natural arch on the trails. Recommending taking a guided tour into the monuments to see the different mesas up close. We did the sunrise tour & our guide gave us a great experience. Nothing like seeing the sun peeking up from behind the mittens. Anyway,great... Read More

Great location close to grocery shopping, local attractions. Large park with lots of sites. Store/Office is open from 7-6, but usually closed by 5 or 530. Showers are located in store/office, so there is no access between 6 PM and 7 AM.

Beautiful views of Monument Valley from the campsites. Staff was very helpful and patient. Recommend booking the "All Day Tour" - a bit pricey but well worth the money.

The area is beautiful. The camp ground is crowded very busy. Very open, wish there were more trees. To many tents mixed in with RV's. They are allowed in after hours so they are loud, have lots of lights shinning. Maybe bad time of year for us.

5 5 out of 5 stars 06/01/2017

Very nice RV park, all paved, no grass with red sand between parking areas. No many choices for quality camping in this area and the price reflects the lack of competition but does indicate quality. If you get bad wind coming through this narrow pass you will get dusted! Very quite location. Would stay here again.

Great views of Monument Valley and the short hike up to the "Hidden Arch" is worth while! The pool was a bit over chlorinated. The trip to Monument Valley was disappointing! The roads in Monument Valley are in serious need of repair and maintenance!!!!!!!!!!!!

Outstanding RV park. Best we've stayed at since leaving Pa. Great pull through site size. Had room for our 32' class A & tow car. Tree & picnic table at every site. Great view. We were there for 3 nights. Wish we could have stayed longer! Easy to find, lots of signs. Very friendly staff. Tours available with native Navajo guides to explore the splendor of Monument Valley. Bathroom key cards don't work. Toilets don't flush. Toilet lid slid off toilet when I sat on it and I am not over weight. Dogs barked each night. Bugs in all ceiling lights. We could find nothing but fried food.

I gave this 5 stars for appeal because the location is incredible. Gorgeous! Breathtaking! The campground is clean; sites are adequate sized for a class A towing. We received a call in the afternoon saying if we got there late there'd be someone to show us around so not to worry. We thought that was very nice. We arrived at around 3 PM. Check in was simple. Didn't use any facilities, but the store at check in was lovely - well supplied plus assorted souvenirs. Internet didn't work well and there's... Read More

We'd go back here in the blink of an eye. The view from the campground - day and night (that night sky around the monuments!) - was wonderful and Monument Valley is just a short drive away.

Let me start by saying the pictures they have on the website aren't doing the place justice! WOW. When I called and made reservations the ladies I spoke with were somewhat, abrupt. I had ideas of watching the morning sun coming up over Monument Valley, etc. Don't be concerned. It was spectacular. - The restroom... Read More

Might have been the best on this 5,000 mile trip. - Indoor swimming pool was nice. Kids were loving it. - There were many employees taking care of business and they were all friendly. - We ate at the Motel restaurant and it was very good. Also have picture windows with a nice view into Monument Valley. The Not so Good... - Kinda pricey, $80 a night. Final Thoughts...$80 a night?! PHAW!!! That's a pittance! This place is awesome!

Superb location, wonderful people, and the sites are kept up extremely well. The bathrooms/showers are some of the cleanest I have come across in our travels. If the Wifi was a little better, it would be the perfect place to stay a while. We hope to visit again!
