We stayed 3 nights to visit some attractions in the area. The park is located off Vernal Av (US-191) along multi lane city streets on the Northside of town. The interior roads are a mixture of paved & gravel. The interior roads and turns are sufficient to maneuver larger RV’s for an experienced driver. The sites are generally level and flat. The parking pads are gravel. The sites are a mixture of pull throughs and back ins. Some of the P/T sites were long enough to stay connected to towed.... Read More

The parking pads are gravel. The sites are a mixture of pull throughs and back ins. Some of the P/T sites were long enough to stay connected to towed. Sites had sufficient room for opening slides. There appeared to be some extended stay sites. Privacy established by distance and site amenities. They have full hook ups – water, electricity (50/30/20 AMP), & sewer. The utility connections were about mid site. Sewer fitting at ground level so establishing a downhill flow would be dependent upon discharge point. There was an outside table. Park was used by outside group. There are quite a few trees scattered throughout the park and around the perimeter so satellite reception would be dependent upon your site and dish configuration. Was able to receive DISH programming using a portable dish sitting on the ground though a gap in the trees. Park brochure lists 24 cable channels. Scan showed 27 analog OTA channels. Sites 10 – 22 limited reception opportunities. Sites 1 – 7, 36 – 56 and B8 – B19 probably no reception opportunity. Sites 23-30 line of trees to South so no reception. Didn’t try the park provided password protected WiFi or the NET10 phone so don’t know about reception. One designated fenced pet area on the North side of the park with grass surface. Bag dispensers/waste collection stations located around the park & pet area. Dumpsters available for disposal. There was sufficient area to walk dogs along the park’s roads. We didn’t use the showers/restrooms or laundry. We would probably stay here again if traveling through the area. TIP: Vernal was clean & neat resulting in a pleasant appearance with sufficient services for a traveler.

Nicely run and clean campground with a helpful staff. We were directed to many local attractions by helpful staff when they learned of our interests. Nice sites, lots of improvements since our stay three years ago, good location, quiet.

We stayed here even though it is not a Good Sam because we had seen it many times before and thought it was the better choice in Vernal UT. We were right, this is a lovely park with great folks and nice grounds, spaces, amenities and close to town but out in the country. We recommend it.

Friendly and courteous staff. We arrived after hours and had no problem getting our paperwork, finding our spot, and getting setup in the dark after hours in our 36' triple slide Cougar 5th wheel. We'd stay here again and recommend it to others. It also appears to be in the heart of UTV country but was surprisingly quiet in the morning!

WONDERFUL campground! The bathrooms are spotless, they were so clean it made you feel like home. The staff was wonderful, very helpful and friendly. I would drive out of my way to stay at this campground.

Overall a nice park. Close to everything in Vernal. Very nice large spaces with a patio and privacy screen between the spaces. Restrooms were nice. Be aware, there's a residential area behind the RV park and local residents are driving through the park at all hours going to and from there homes. Too much traffic.
