First, I had some items I needed to receive, so I contacted the campground to see if I could have them shipped there. They said yes and verified the address. I got a call two days before we arrived that packages had come in and they were refusing them. Luckily we were able to have one package held at FedEx almost two hours away from the campground and the campground agreed to accept the rest of the packages. We arrived to our site (73). Luckily we were able to have one package held at FedEx almost two hours away from the campground and the campground agreed to accept the rest of the packages. We arrived to our site (73). What a mess. The grounds were all torn up, from what we could not tell. The 50amp outlet was installed upside down. This meant that we would not be able to use our surge protector because it would not fit upside down under the post cover. If we were to even plug in our RV without the surge protector, the cord would be strained because of being upside down. We were able to move to another site, but nobody came to fix the outlet on the post. The sites are slight pulloffs on each side of the road. They are not very long and are not very wide. If the sites on both sides of the road are occupied, it makes for very narrow driving and maneuvering. There were three of us in a row at one point. The third person came in just as we were parking and asked us to move so they could fit. They wanted us to move behind our RV, but that was where our neighbor parked (they were not there at the time). The other vehicle was able to fit in the space ahead of us, but there was not much room to spare. I'm not sure why this campground is in such disrepair and is so disorganized. While it is not high-priced, it is within the range of other campgrounds that offer many more amenities within a couple of miles. They only had electric hookups, with no water or sewer at the site. They even charged for showers - 25 cents for four minutes or 50 cents for ten minutes! We had our own shower and brought a full tank of water so we did not need this. The one redeeming factor was the park had a nice view of the badlands.

You are parked on side of the road in a little cut out. It was hard to line rig up as the roads are circles or 8 patterns so your on a curve. You can not really sit outside as it's windy and all you would see from the picnic table is the side of your rig. It was well placed for park access and we really enjoyed the new missile museum and tour of the control room, as well as the drive around the badlands- watch out for the wild turkeys on side of the road, they can do a lot of damage to your car.
