This park is fine for an overnight stay, but would not come here again for one main reason--when checking in, the owner made numerous derogatory comments about a certain political party. She assumed that I was in agreement until I told her otherwise. She continued making very insulting statements. We try to avoid political discussions at RV parks, and think that the owners should do the same.

It took a long time to get through this part of our stay and then the stay only got more frustrating as the weekend went on. My requested “pull through site” was at the very back of the campground. They put us between two permanent sites that were very close together and very trashed up, I could not open my awning all the way and with that the camper on that side sewer connection was under my awning! At that time I asked for a different site and was told they were all booked for the weekend. One the other side of our camper was a completely trashed site with piles of scrap metal and garbage all over the site. The folks in that camper were loud’ and very profane. So we did leave then to get dinner and when we got back the campground folks put another camper between us and the scrap metal collector, the new camper was a very long 5th wheel which blocked me from parking in front of our camper. Lucky for us those folks were really great and felt the same as we did with the ordeal. I could go on and on but I hope this gets someone’s attention to look into their operation at Echo Valley. It is a great location and could be an awesome campground

My husband stayed at Echo Valley from April 2021 til June2021 due to his construction job. The owner was kinda nice when I called her to set up the date of us bringing our camper to her campground, I told her that he would be a month to month renter due to his job. My husband stayed at Echo Valley from April 2021 til June2021 due to his construction job. The owner was kinda nice when I called her to set up the date of us bringing our camper to her campground, I told her that he would be a month to month renter due to his job. She said that’s fine because she does month to month and long term rentals on her camp spots. So we arrived, checked in, we paid a 200.00 light deposit which is fine, plus our fee for staying starting for April and we did not receive any kind of paperwork about the return deposits or fees only a map of the campground with local attractions, wifi password only. So when we got ready to leave on June 27, 21 due to my husbands job transfer, I went into the office on the Saturday evening to let her know we would be leaving on Sunday by 10am and settle up our light bill. Well all of a sudden owner told me we owed 387.20. I asked her why so much and she told me we owed her 100.00 for me coming to stay with with my husbands for 3 weeks, 187.20 for lights and another 100.00 for a March light bill and we didn’t check in until March 28, 2021. I told her that we do not owe a light bill for when we where not even there, I told her I wouldn’t pay for a bill we didn’t make. I asked her what happened to the light deposit I paid 200.00 to cover the light bill for June, she told me that we did not give her a 30 day notice of us leaving. I told her that we are not long termed tenants and that we did not sign any kind of agreement saying we would be, or any kind of agreements. I told the owner we would only be month to month renters again to remind her of our conversation the day I checked in. She was already showing signs of being mad, started talking hateful and because I was asking questions why I was being charged all this money that she could not produce paperwork for. She is very disorganized with her bookkeeping, cannot produce proof of the charges she is charging you. She makes up fees as she goes, she says there is copies of rules and fees posted all through the office and campground, which there is not! When our water heater went out, she wanted to charge us 6.00 per person to use the showers, which shows on the website is an amenity of the campground. She locks the showers & bathhouse every evening to keep them from being used, then she tells us we cannot use our washer & dryers, we must use hers, she has a verbal list made up rules everything when questioned about it. How can Good Sams label this campground they recommend or even have listed after all these bad reviews. Every site now I have been on to read about Echo Valley is not good reviews, which I had done better research before staying at this campground. When your on owners good side she will be fine, but when you start to see her true colors come out and question her about false charges she is charging you she turns into a rude owner, she will cuss at you and try to make you feel dumb or uneducated when dealing with her by calling her out for the false charges she is adding to your bill. So watch out if you go to this campground and she changes the rates, add charges to your bill. Good Sam’s need to investigate this campground and read the reviews from all websites including Echo Valley Campground, see how she responds to the bad reviews and if that don’t show you what kind of true owner she is I don’t know what will!!

Took almost 30 minutes to check in because they seemed disorganized in the office to which sites were open and which were full. They assigned us to a site in the pull thru section and it was already occupied when went to the site. The owner was riding around in her vehicle and when told what happened she told us to take another pull thru site that faced a metal wall of their mantenance area. When asked about the hookups she responded "you'll find them" and drove away yelling at my wife about walking the dog close to the playground. (Note: It's listed as Pet Friendly but everywhere we walked where the public area's were was posted No Pets No Alcohol No Smoking) This site was so small that when I pulled in, the nice couple behind us had to pull in their awning halfway so I could put my slide out on the drivers side. When I put the slide out on the passenger side it only gave us approx 6 feet between the slide and metal wall. The site had a gravel drive but everything around the gravel was weeds about 10 inches high. I had to search for the sewer hook up because it was hidden in the high weeds. As we walked around the campground we noticed the majority of the sites were overgrown with weeds. Dont expect to get Cable TV either. Well I guess there is a cable run to your site but it is not the normal cable tv you expect when it lists Cable TV. We received 4 local TV channels from an antenna in the maintenance area. When the owner was asked about it, the response was "I don't promise or advertise cable TV anywhere". Well if you look at their web site in the RV Rates it does offer pull thru and Cable TV Options. This is copied and pasted from their web site: RV CAMPING Clean, shaded sites and 30/50 amp hookups, are all a part of RV camping with us. Pull-thru sites and Cable TV options are available. All camping rates are per night and include 2 adults and 2 children. Each additional person is $8.00. Pull-thru sites are an additional $5.00. I will give credit where credit is due. The electric in the pull thru area looked to be recently upgraded, the roads were nicely stoned, the playground was clean and the pool appeared to be clean (We didn't use it). I did not use any of the bathhouses.

There is no need to reiterate all the problems with this campground, just read some other reviews. The check in person was very nice and the site easy to get into. Other than than that one has to wonder how it is a Good Sams campground. The biggest negative, they had port a potties for bathrooms. We were thankful we were only there for one night.

Very poor or no phone reception at all. Our second day there we had friends stop by that live near there. Upon arrival they came to our site, they drove through a pull thru site that was empty. within a minute the owner was there yelling about cutting through the site and very rude to our guests. We wanted to find out how long they were gonna stay and go down to the office and pay the fee. (Which we did right after here rude encounter, our guests apologized saying they didn't know about the site as she ranted about private property and so on.) Bath house was very nice had private toilet, sink, and shower but there was only 2 for that side of the campground. Most likely will not return here. This could be a great park with some upgrades and someone who knows how to deal with people and run a park. Definitely not Good Sam worthy.

Unfortunately, we were unhappy with our stay and left early to head to another campground. I am really surprised that this is a good sam rated park. The website pictures are false advertisement and is quite misleading about the way the park looks. The park is pretty run down and has a main road straight through it that leads to a neighborhood. When my wife booked our stay, the owner said with the length of our trailer a pull thru site would work nest because we are long. She took our information but never gave a total for the stay, or how much the deposit would be. When we arrived we were given a non pull thru site, (whatever - we fit) and there was no record of us even making a reservation. First, the website indicates they have full service sites which include cable and wifi/internet. The cable was cut and tied up on the top of the poles in the air, and the wifi was not functional. As we had no cell service, and I own my own business we needed either cell service or wifi. I was able to log into MY OWN comcast account and use a comcast wifi hotspot in the area, which only worked outside the camper. My wife was unable to log into my comcast account, and purchased a few day wifi pass FROM comcast. Cable is not a necessity - we are camping. It's nice to fall asleep to a show sometimes, but whatever. Just don't advertise amenities on your website you don't offer. The bathrooms were clean. Of the trailer my wife and I checked out: The men's had 3 shower stalls with curtains and an open free standing toilet next to the sink. Anyone coming in the bathroom to use the showers or wash their hands would see you sitting on the toilet. The women's had one shower stall and also a free standing toilet with no door or curtain next to the sink. So again, anyone coming in to shower etc would get to chat with the person using the toilet. We were informed upon arrival (and by the hand written in sharpie schedule on the door) that the park was offering 4th of July fireworks. All must pay the $7 per adult/$3 per child fee for them, in addition to your stay. The pool (which is green and could use more chemicals) is also an additional fee per person. The owner informed my wife she used to allow the public to swim, but the insurance company shut that down, so when we went to the pool we didn't realize the price signs on the fence applied to the pool.... I mean I paid $300 for my stay why wouldn't an amenity such as a pool be included? (side note: I've never had to pay for an on site pool at an rv resort before..... but alright) well the owner was pretty nasty in the way she spoke to us about paying Like we were trying to get over on her for a few dollar swim fee for two small children. If I had any idea I would have had to pay, I gladly would have, or not used the pool. Even the bystanders who witnessed this were also shocked by the way she spoke to my wife. The camp store is very outdated in decor and products it offers. While I packed up the camper after getting a saving grace site at another local campground, my wife met the owner outside the office to let her know we would not be staying the additional 2 nights we paid for. The owner walked away and shut the door to the store in my wife's face. She made no attempt to work out the situation or see what the problem was or if there was some way to work it out.

Not kid friendly which it is advertised as. Did not accept our Good Sam discount. Left early due to the park not being as advertised and refused to give refund. Good Sam needs to not put their name with this campground. Rudest owner I have ever encountered. Stay Away if you are out for enjoyment.

The campground was conveniently located just one mile off the interstate. The sites were well groomed and maintained. The hook up for the sewer, water and cable we scattered making hook up a little difficult and there was no cable available. The sewer did not drain and there was a sign in the office stating refunds would not be given for sewer problems, leading me to believe this will not be fixed anytime soon. This park was very difficult to rate because of the many apparent contradictions. This park was very difficult to rate because of the many apparent contradictions. On the positive side, many dozens of potted flowers were attractively placed throughout the park, and the restrooms were among the nicest I've been in during our nearly two years of mostly full-time RVing. The downside of our stay is best illustrated by the following real-life account: During the check-in process around 3:30 p.m., the receptionist/manager/maybe owner commented that she would be right out to unlock the restrooms. That seemed a bit odd to me but I didn't really give it much thought. About an hour later, after setting up our campsite, I needed to pee. So I checked the camp map and walked to the nearest set of restrooms only a handful of sites away only to find the entire building locked up tight. While a bit disconcerting, I had the foresight to check the map for the location of a second set of restrooms. These were a bit further away, but not too taxing (although any amount of walking with a full bladder could end up unpleasantly). Imagine my surprise when I found the second building to be locked as well. (I'm estimating there may have been almost a hundred sites, and the park was perhaps 80% full). My trip to the third, the smallest, and the final restroom building did fortunately have access to a single toilet and shower with a ramp into the shower for wheelchair access. This seemed to me to be inadequate for a park this size, so I proceeded to the office to inquire about where all the restrooms were. The husband of the receptionist seemed a bit put off by the inquiry, and spoke to me in a fashion I considered rude. I told him that. Then he started yelling at me, telling me the restrooms here were probably the nicest rv park restrooms I had ever been in, which by the way turned out to be true, you just can't get in them because they are kept locked up. I said, it was really your intention to keep the restrooms locked up? He said they have to do that because so many people come in off the interstate to use the facilities without paying. I responded that many parks solve that problem with codes on the locks which they give to registered guests. The yelling intensified and I was told I had no right to tell him how to run his business, and that "you people" travel around the country looking to stay for free (though I had previously forked over a couple twenties for my stay) and that "you people" expect every park to be the same. This is patently not true, I just don't expect to run around an RV park, looking for an unlocked building when I need to pee!!! I exited the office in mid-rant, and will NEVER return to this park. To her credit, the wife followed me out the door, and apologized for her husband.

I called ahead because we were late arriving,7:15 pm. I was informed this would be a late check in and to call before we got off the highway. Upon arrival at 7:30, she was looking for the price sheet and and had written on the bill late check in. I reminded her that she had quoted me a price of $42 cash - $44 plastic, she informed me this was a HOLIDAY weekend, I question this because it was Wednesday and she informed me IT was the Hershey RV Show. My Husband confirmed the price she had quoited on speaker phone and eventually she charged Us $45.00 cash, which included the late check in fee of $3.00. I expressed my disappointment in this attitude by canceling our second night which we had planned to stay. She was without a doubt not surprised by this and didn't offer any response to the lose of revenue. If she didn't have such poor customer service she wouldn't have to up charge customers because she could have more business as well as repeat business. This is not a place that Good Sam should want ANY association with and I shared my concerns with them as well. NEVER AGAIN will I go there or make the mistake of not reading the reviews that other travelers have taken the time to write.
