We had a bit of a problem on check in (web site would not allow our discount as GS member and they were not able to credit us on line) but they were quick to make this up to us with offers of remedy. Sites are a little close, but mostly tiered so this is not so noticeable. Have soft solar lights throughout making it easier to walk your pups but also visually welcome. Definitely would recommend.
After reviewing the camp map, I found C1 shown as a pull thru site available for the week we would be staying. Easy peasy. Until 2 days before we are set to show up, I get an email and we have been moved to a back in site. When ask I was told pull thru sites are for are monthly renters. So why did your reservation system allow me to rent for a week? Then they tell me C1 isn't a pull thru site after all, although the map outside the store shows it as pull thru, great then I shouldn't have been moved... Read More

So a site I reserved was given to someone else and I never got an honest answer as to why. During the conversation the staff was rude and condescending. The camp store is not stocked well. The sites are close together and not level at all. The bath house smelled moldy. The worst campground we have ever stayed out.

We stayed one night passing through. The owner was very nice. Site was easy to pull into and level. We didn’t have to unhook from the truck. Bathroom/shower were very clean and nice. Did not use laundry. Park is dog friendly. Which was nice because we are relocating and traveling with our daughter’s 2 dogs from NM to IN. I would highly recommend this campground. We traveled full time for almost 2 years in all 48 continuous states and I would rate Ballard Park as one of our new favorites. Thank you... Read More

We stayed here one night while passing through the area. We did not use the restrooms, WI-FI, laundry or TV services. This park is a good place to spend the night while passing through. It is far enough off of the interstate that traffic noise is less of an issue than at other parks we've visited. Our gravel site was almost perfectly level and connections were easy. There is no "camp store" as such so you should bring whatever you need. The lady who owns the camp is extremely nice and helpful... Read More

The price is right and the location is good. Would stay here again.

Great little campground. Sites are easy to get into and its super quiet out there. The owner is a very nice lady, goes out of her way to help customers when needed. She loaned us a ladder and drill so I could install a few airmax covers. Has a great laundry and restroom setup. We camped here many times since May 2015 will continue to camp there when we visit our family there in Joplin.
