Great marketing on website but unfortunately upon arrival, the website is NOT representative of the current condition. It appeared that all but two sites were converted to long term and without age restriction on units. The recent hurricane could have contributed to the water quality of the lake. Hoped to have been able to let our dog swim and would not allow him close to the water. The loop road has not been maintained well yet rated for big rigs. Site had full hook-ups and wifi. Site had... Site had multiple fire ant hills so we stayed in our trailer. Had booked for a 4 night stay and left after one night. At check-in we were given a fob for the gate, which were were informed closed about 5:00 PM. Oddly early, but will say made sense with the traffic of the store adjacent to entrance. Communication with resort was poor and should have taken that as a sign to just cancel and book somewhere else. We spoke with the only other neighbors that were campers vs residents. They were from Europe and also disappointed in the resort. They used the bathhouse and stated it was not pristine. Hoped to experience a small lake resort away from the busy coast but glad we moved on.

Bells Marina is a small campground on Lake Marion with a Hotel, RV Park and Country Store hidden in in an out of the way community. If you're an avid fisherman looking for that big catch or just want to relax with a beautiful view of the lake this is the place for you. I was there for over two (2) months and found the owners and staff to be friendly and accommodating. The property is under new management so the property is going through changes and upgrades with alot of progress being made during... Read More

I was there for over two (2) months and found the owners and staff to be friendly and accommodating. The property is under new management so the property is going through changes and upgrades with alot of progress being made during the time that I was there. The grounds look good, the hotel rooms are very nice all overlooking the lake with a Gazebo and outside Barbecue area. The RV spots are big, especially the one's on the lake with a fire-pit and picnic tables and I find their prices to be reasonable. They do have a Gas Station and Restaurant which is really convenient and the store carries anything you need from food to bait and tackle. If you're traveling with children outside of fishing they do not have many activities, but they do have Kayaks and a Paddle Boat. They are pet friendly and they have a large grassy area for them to be walked I think they were planning on a dog park soon. The bathhouse is newly renovated but I find it not very well ventilated and the grounds still need work but overall my stay was good and I met some nice people.
