The campground was an excellent find. The sites are level and maintained very well. The wifi worked very well and the staff is friendly and accommodating. The campground was near the interstate but surprisingly quiet. The restrooms were clean and in good repair. We will definitely be back to this one.

Positives: long term residents were helpful and nice. They assisted with set up upon arrival, and directing to hitch up for departure. The grass was nicely mowed grounds well maintained. Close to Shenandoah Caverns. Did not use the restrooms. The dog run had nice grass and fence looked secure.

There was a hole in the gate used the get the mower in that needs to be fixed or a small dog could get out. They also have a "poop" station with bags and trash can. Fabulous park just off the Interstate. Very neat, clean, and well run. They have lots of activities, fire ring, outside movies, etc. the best part is that the owners are fabulous. We stayed only one night on a stop over but would absolutely stay there again. Called for the reservation same day and there was no problem. If all campgrounds were run this well it would be for the best! We have a Cl C motorhome but there were several CL A's and 5th wheels. Plenty of room. DirecTv, and Verizon worked... Read More

This park is great with a couple of exceptions (1) terribly loud road noise and (2) landscaping. Our gravel site was level and a reasonable size. The "grassy" area around the site and in the fenced pet park was brown and crunchy - not good for pets or sitting outside - a little watering would go a long way. There was no bench or any seating in the pet park. The staff on the other hand was very friendly and helpful. The bathrooms were exceptionally clean along with the laundry area. It is close... We were surprised at how well maintained this campground was. We read through the reviews here and on other websites and some were not so favorable. But we found it to be much different. If there is any issue I have is that Interstate 81 is really close and the noise is constant, but not bad. You come to not even hear it after a while. This is a nice place for an overnight on aa long trip or for a long weekend.

Nice, quiet, clean, campground. Nice dog walking park and showers. Clean and well kept playground. Sites are kept nice and camp store was very nice with cool knick knacks and local treats. Staff was very polite. We just did an overnite trip. We would definitely recommend staying here. We would come back! Thanks.

Excellent campground. Very new, easy in easy out, staff is very accommodating. Stayed here overnight on our way to Maine returned on our way home and stayed 3 nights. This place will not be easy to get a site once the word gets out.

This campground is located on the side of a major highway. The truck noise is loud and constant. The sites are in the sun with no trees except tiny ones planted in poor locations; we could not open our awning. The pool facility looked nice, but it was cloudy for our entire stay so we did not go in. The Wifi did not work--and yes, this is a problem for those on the road extended periods. The bathrooms were not cleaned during our 3-day stay. The staff was pleasant and helpful.

We love this place! We keep coming back! Camped here at least 6 times in the past two years. Very conveniently located and everyone is always so nice and accommodating. We love the area! It's our favorite place along Rt 81 to camp.

We have a 37 foot motorhome and were assigned site P6. We were able to level, our front wheels were off the ground but it did present a problem. Everything is adequate and was an easy off and on for I81. We only spent the night so didn't use all facilities, but had no complaints.

More tree cover would be nice but recognize that this is a 'young' campground but there were multiple young trees which happen to be in bloom during our stop! The I-81 noice was audible but we listen to that at home so...not a concern to us! Wireless did drop in and out....but cable was a treat! Hook-ups were fine. The grounds were beautiful....pool looked gorgeous...handicap accessibility noted as was one of the cute cabins. I would definitely stay here with my children/grand-children....playground was sweet as well as large out-door pavilion for a family picnic....LOVED the fire pit surrounded by swings! Upon 'checking out' in the am with my purchases of cute tees for grand-babes and bracelet by LOCAL artisan (which I always prefer to Chinese produced items) I was cheerfully invited to help myself to free coffee?? We didn't go to the Shenandoah Caverns, literally within a short walk....will save that for the visit with kids!

We stayed here one overnight just passing thru on our way back home in Tennessee. Had a full hookup pull thru lot. had no trouble with water/electric/sewer. Very nice pavilion and pavilion area with porch-type swings, horseshoes, etc. Other than the central pavilion, there is absolutely no shade. Although wifi is not important to some RV'ers, the strength of my 802.11g wireless signal at my site was okay. My site strength showed -54dBm. When tested very, very early in the am and obviously not busy, Speedtest.net showed less than 5 Mbps down and less than 1Mbps up (0.5 to 0.8 Kbps). (the provider is Shentel) Cable TV service was super. Excellent picture on all 24 provided channels. Restroom\showers are posted as closed for cleaning from 11 am to 1 pm however I saw no action in that regard. After a 3-day post-Labor Day stay, the same clutter, etc. remained on the floor of the men's restroom. Biggest negatives that I encountered were the relentlessly loud 24-hour I-81 traffic noise, no shade, and the slope of my pull-thru site. Depending on your assigned site, you could have a very close proximity to the I-81 south lanes - approximately 300 ft or less. Every site on the north side of the park appeared to be very much like mine - that is, nicely covered with grass & gravel, but the ground sloped very noticeably toward the south AND toward the east. My site, which looked about typical, was sloped almost 5 inches for every 10 feet of RV length. There was about 2-4 inches of side to side slope. Most every rig is different so the slope may or may not be a factor for you. There are no pads or carpeting permitted on any grass so with a pull-thru site about 11 ft. wide, you can forget any carpet under most of your awning.

Some of the sites are not as level as some would like, but that is something to expect at most parks. It is a tight fit to drive through the park with a big rig. The road to the park is a narrow winding road. It is a state road and not a park road. We've been here twice and will be there again.

As staff was directing another camper to a site he noticed my wheels were fully in the air and offered a back in site. The site was barely long enough for my motorhome and still far from level but I had no option. Hooking up was another experience. I used every length of sewer hose I owned and stretched it to the max. The cable tv only worked the first night. The balance of the stay had more units in the campground and no tv and occasional Internet. Sleeping in this campground is not an option. My rear bedroom was only feet from the guard rail of the interstate and the traffic noise was unrelenting. In nearly 40 years of camping this was my worst experience in a campground.

had extended stay here and read other reviews.... shade trees? trees less than 12 foot tall....I found the camp to be well laid out and parked in the pull thru section... easy hook up to electricity, water, sewer, and cable 15 channels. Staff seemed very friendly and helpful... have they changed the staff? Wifi worked great, but due to the lack of campers.... I probably was the only one on line... the camp is within walking distance of the caverns and other attractions.... I enjoyed my stay...

We reserved campsite on Oct 7th, 2015 for the night of Oct 24th for one night and were told there were plenty of campsites available. Received an emailed confirmation that day with campsite #B-22 shown on the reservation confirmation. When we arrived and had checked in, they put us in B16, stating they had the right to change sites at will (which is stated no where on their web-site or reservation confirmation). We were escorted to our site, but then were stopped short and were told to pull into B5 instead (another on-the-fly change). We backed in, begin to hook up, and more problems began to arise. The campsite's utility hook ups were at the road, and the hook ups on our camper were at the back. We stretched our electrical cord all the way out (25') and were able to reach the utility pole, barely, leaving our truck in the street. Water was not a problem. Sewer, though was another challenge. Our bathroom is on the the back of the camper and the campsite sewer portal was at the front. With all 4 of our pieces and all the connectors we had, we were able to hook-up the blackwater sewer, but unable to connect the grey water because we ran out of sewer hose and connectors, which has never happened to us in our entire camping career. Same issue with cable hook-up -- cable connection on campsite was at the road, but cable connection on camper was on the back and not enough cable to reach (needed about 50ft). At one point, just after we pulled into our campsite, we were asked to move our truck so another camper could get by. We had not even been given 10 minutes to get our truck disconnected from the camper!!! This was a very poorly designed campsite, as most campers' utilities are either midway or in the rear of the camper. Every other campground we've stayed at have had utilities located either midway or near the rear of the campsites. Several more campsites in the campground were designed like this as well. The man camping next to us had the same issue and couldn't even pull his very large 5th wheel camper all the way into the campsite. I spoke to one of the staff members (an apparent manager) soon after we arrived about this issue, and he seemed unconcerned. I went back up to the office to speak to the staff again, after we had finished trying to hook everything up, and were told they would refund our money and we could be on our way. The most obvious fix would have been to have moved us to another campsite that would have better accommodated our camper hook-up needs (the campsite was less than 1/2 full), but no such offer was made after either conversation. The IDEAL solution would have been to have better matched our camper's needs to the correct campsite from the beginning (again, the campground was less than 1/2 full), but for some reason this concept appeared to be a challenge to the staff working that day. The staff as a whole appeared to be very incompetent, unconcerned about their customers needs, RUDE, and unprofessional. Will NEVER stay here again, nor will we ever recommend this campground to anyone else. Additionally, the campground is adjacent to a major interstate and is VERY noisy. Not sure how they expect to stay in business if they are this unconcerned about accommodating the basic needs of their paying customers. Maybe that's one reason they were less than 1/2 full, and the other campgrounds in the area were completely booked.
