Wow what a nice oasis traveling through Kansas! Not too far off the interstate and well worth more than just a place to sleep. Twice we've been there it was not full but peaceful, hilly, some shade, and beautiful lake views. The mountain bike trail there is in great shape and much more technical than I would have expected in a "plains" state! Wow what a nice oasis traveling through Kansas! Not too far off the interstate and well worth more than just a place to sleep. Twice we've been there it was not full but peaceful, hilly, some shade, and beautiful lake views. The mountain bike trail there is in great shape and much more technical than I would have expected in a "plains" state! The bath house (the only one I could find that was open) was quite a haul from our site and overused most people drove their vehicle or bike there. The sites are decent and somewhat level, but the attraction being the lake, the trail and the peacefulness!

State park with paved sites about 5 miles from I-70 on a nice reservoir. We were in Big Bluestem loop and had water/electricity. Our site was a "prime" site directly on the lake. The loop had a mixture of pull-thru and back in sites. The lake is very active with boaters and fishermen. Most sites are big enough for parking a boat in addition to a RV. The bathhouse for our loop was about 400 yards away up the hill and appeared to be new. There were four unisex shower rooms and separate mens/womens... Read More
State park with paved sites about 5 miles from I-70 on a nice reservoir. We were in Big Bluestem loop and had water/electricity. Our site was a "prime" site directly on the lake. The loop had a mixture of pull-thru and back in sites. The lake is very active with boaters and fishermen. Most sites are big enough for parking a boat in addition to a RV. The bathhouse for our loop was about 400 yards away up the hill and appeared to be new. There were four unisex shower rooms and separate mens/womens restrooms in the same building. There were no hooks in the showers and the water was actuated by a plunger for 15 seconds at a time.
