This RV Park has such potential! Beautiful grassy sites, little wildflowers, ducks and birds chirping. Beautiful lake. But the bathrooms were about the nastiest I've seen. We were there for three days and they were never cleaned. The same wad of hair was in the shower and on the floor. Trash overflowing, dead bugs, and a few live ones! Beer bottles, the toilet seat was broken. No toilet paper. A fellow camper warned us of that, so gotta bring your own! No way was I stepping into that filthy shower.... Read More

We took showers at the State Park in Galveston. It was worth the $5. The laundry room wasn't much better. The whole "Washateria" needs to be condemned! I gave one star because this place has potential and the hook ups worked, and the lady in the office was friendly and gave good beach access advice. Other than that, you couldn't pay me to camp here again. I was really surprised that this campground was on Good Sam's list.

The owners of this RV park are honest and helpful. I gave it only a 3 star rating because the website talks about all of the progress made to improve the park but all we saw was a nice new dog park. We did not even see the beginning of a new shower facility and we were not paying $2 to take a shower in a trailer. The washateria trailer only had 3 washers that worked and is open air which means be prepared to sweat while doing laundry. The wifi is very poor even standing outside. On the upside,... Read More

On the upside, it had close golf cart access to the beach and there is plenty of room between RV spaces. If I was just looking for a weekend stay to go fishing this would not be a bad option. If the improvements they are touting are ever made to the showers, wifi, etc. And there was no charge to use the bathroom/showers like other parks then this would be a nice place to stay on vacation.

The staff was very friendly and helpful with points of interest on Crystal Beach. The park was well kept, very neat and tidy. Their Pond is brain water, so red fish plus other salt water fish can be caught there. The park was very peaceful but if you want excitement Galveston is a short ferry ride away. I recommend this park to anyone who wants value and to relax.
