We had read some less than rave reviews of this campground but saw it was supposedly under new management. Thinking the "new management" meant better service, we called a made a reservation and were told a site number, which we wrote down. When we arrived at the office to check in the camper ahead of us was stating they had made a reservation a month ago, but the campground had no record of it. Another camper came in stating their unit could not fit in their assigned site. Another camper arrived stating they had made reservations months in advance for a full hook-up, but were told the only site available for them was in a field with no services. We were told that they had our reservation, but they had no site available. So we could park our 43ft motorhome in the field with no services. We decided to pass and just cross Twillingate off our scheduled stop. As we were opening the door to leave it turns out they did have a site with water /electric and we could stay there 3 nights. As we were paying for the site they remarked if we had come in one day later we could have had a site with water, electric, and sewer. We said we'd be happy to stay one night in the water electric site and move to the water, electric, and sewer site the next day. They gave us a site number to check out. We offered to pay for everything up front. They said just pay for tonight and come in in the morning to take care of the second site. We went in the next morning to pay for the next site and were informed the supposed site and every other site was taken but, we could stay where we were. We left.
