Their website advertises 330 spacious CONCRETE pads. When you book a Premium Site is states it has CONCRETE PARKING and patios. When we booked the site in October, we were verbally told it was a concrete parking pad. When we checked in and drove to the site we ended up at a site that had a concrete patio and a dirt/sand parking area. We have a Class A and do not park in dirt/sand as in the past, due to sinkage, we were forced to be towed out of a parking spot in an RV Lot. So, I went to the... Read More

We have a Class A and do not park in dirt/sand as in the past, due to sinkage, we were forced to be towed out of a parking spot in an RV Lot. So, I went to the office because obviously there was an error. When I encountered the first rude desk clerk, he told me if I didn't like it I could leave. I then spoke to the manager who told me that the dirt/sand was their Premium sites. When I showed him the listing on the website that said CONCRETE PARKING...he said...I didn't write that...what do you want me to do...wave a magic wand. So, after driving several hours and having to cancel all of our plans, we left. They did agree to a refund but it was a long fight to get them to give me a receipt showing I would be refunded. And they only listed a partial dollar amount on the refund because the clerk couldn't figure out what we had paid. In all of years of traveling, I have never run across such dishonest, rude and down right mean and ugly facility and employees to deal with. I highly recommend you don't believe one thing written on their website.

Unclean! Our entire four day stay, the men’s restroom was never cleaned. And it was disgusting. Pro’s: they are trying to upgrade, paving sites and so forth. Views of water and small docks from some sites. Cons: unhelpful staff manning the checkin desk. ‘Marina’ is not full service - nothing to rent, etc. Their store, while cute for retail purposes (they sell a lot online) doesn’t have any day-to-day essentials other than ice. Make certain you come with food and drinks, as there are no stores... Read More

Make certain you come with food and drinks, as there are no stores or restaurants nearby. You will need a car or to find an Uber. Of the many events listed on their website, none seemed to take place. The ‘golf course’ looked ok, but obviously isn’t functioning. Overall, interesting experience, and won’t be back. Very unhappy about the misleading Good Sam rating, so will be doing lots more outside research before I make another reservation anywhere. And the bathrooms? H#*# no.

We stayed at Fisherman's Cove for about two months in June and July. The park has two sections, the A section nearest the office/marina and the B section which is on a hill offering views of Lake Harris. The lots in the A section are a little close together, the premium lots in the B section have a little more breathing room. The roads within the park were clearly labeled and appeared to be new asphalt. During our stay we saw several maintenance teams hard at work on the upkeep of the landscaping... Read More

I loved having the ability to reserve, access bills, and pay online. Once we arrived, check-in was quick and easy. Our space was clean and level. Our neighbors appeared to be trailers that were stored for the summer - they were hooked up but we never saw anyone come by. The summer in Tavares is the off-season for tourists and snow-birds, so our stay was incredibly quiet. We enjoyed taking morning and evening strolls around the grounds with our dog. We even walked to the nearby Lake Idamere park a few times. The park features a nature trail, pier, playground, and dog park. Check-out was quick and easy - we'll definitely be back!

We don't play golf but we did have family and friends equidistant from Tavares so reserved here. Upon arrival the initial site we were assigned did not meet our reservation requests but we were given two other sites to chose from and they were much better: sites are long and level concrete pads, with ample space between sites for (relative!) privacy. Amenities looked good but the fitness area was closed due to COVID, much to my husband's regret. Given the size of the park we thought it would be... Read More

Amenities looked good but the fitness area was closed due to COVID, much to my husband's regret. Given the size of the park we thought it would be better to have restroom, shower, and laundry facilities in the executive section as well as near the entrance. As it was, husband drove he says restroom and shower facilities were clean and generously-sized. Check-in greeter was courteous and helpful! There were not a lot of RVs in use near us, perhaps because we weren't there on the weekend. It's quiet in the park, with no road or highway noise. It's clean and extremely well-maintained. We'd return if we get back to this area.

This place has lots of potential but appears to have been neglected for quite some time. Landscaping has not been maintained and weeds and fire ants are everywhere. Sprinkler system was not operating and WiFi did not work. Entrance and exit gates were broken and not operating. Gatehouse area was covered with broken glass. Dogs run free and when asked fellow campers said they do not enforce pet rules. Rates are very high for daily stay. When we booked we were told the only site available was the... Read More

Dogs run free and when asked fellow campers said they do not enforce pet rules. Rates are very high for daily stay. When we booked we were told the only site available was the high end site for $80 a night. After walking the facility we found several sites empty. We did not use the Restrooms so we were unable to rate them. This was NOT a $80 a night RV Park. Does not deserve the Good Sam ratings it currently has.

Horrible park. I went there with the idea of being able to play some golf while in Florida. Their golf course is nothing but an overgrown field, no tee boxes, no greens, just overgrown weeds. Seemed to be 90% seasonal sites with permanent structures added on. The advertised Wifi was absolutely none existent unless you drove over to the pool and exercise building. The advertised available cable TV was only available to monthly sites (not nightly or weekly sites) and only directly from the cable company.... Read More

The advertised available cable TV was only available to monthly sites (not nightly or weekly sites) and only directly from the cable company. judging by the website it looked like a really nice place with some nice RV's there. Boy was I disappointed to find 90% of them permanent and run down with permanent structures attached to them. More like a trailer park of (technically) Recreational VEHICLES). Will not be going there again.
