Most certainly NOT the grumpy former owner! A very welcome stop along I-80. Very friendly owners and very accommodating. Great playground for my youngest (7). Lake and boating available but did not enjoy due to high winds that evening. Very nice large property to walk around. Bathroom large and clean. Near the freeway but I don't remember much noise...general store is well stocked.

Level grass sites on a private lake. You can swim and fish (catch & release) in the lake. If you want to put a boat in the lake you must rent one of the campground boats. The campground is right next to I-80 so the traffic noise is significant. The bathrooms are old, concrete block structures in need of updating. No laundry or wifi. If you need to check e-mail you can go to the McDonalds on the other side of the interstate. There is a little store in the office but your best bet is to go into... Read More

North Platt has several grocery stores, a WalMart and at least 2 RV repair shops. The campground was purchased by the current owner last year and they have been trying to upgrade. The owner was friendly and helpful. We had a W/E site facing the lake. We were there for the eclipse so the campground was pretty full. The entrance is from an unmarked road between the Interstate and the South Platte River bridge so you need to follow the campground's web site directions.

Very nice lady took my reservation over the phone. Hard to find a good place to stay off the 80 between Cheyenne and Omaha. This place was nice.

Nice open park with good sized lake attached. Fair price and easy to find. Rudest host you could find. Went out of there way to be as rude as possible. Did not explain anything about facilities during check in, seemed to be bothered. Recommend spending your monies somewhere else. Worst damping experience in 30 years of camping.
