Stayed one night in space 25 with 35' class A with toad. Arrived after hours in the dark so park layout and determining accessible route made getting into the space difficult. Had to unhook the toad to park. In the light of day it was obvious there was a better route and parking could have been easier. Space was large / long enough and level. Space was talked up as a slight extra fee for riverfront. The river is many yards away and between late check in and 11A checkout, I never even saw it.... Read More

Space was talked up as a slight extra fee for riverfront. The river is many yards away and between late check in and 11A checkout, I never even saw it. There is a sign on the office front door with an arrow pointing to a little (tiny) window on the side of the office. You have to wait outside until someone comes to the window to speak with you. It's very offputting. I'm not sure what the reason really is, but it isn't welcoming or personable in any way. The person in the office was gruff. No smile. No welcoming comment. Maybe lack of coffee. Maybe already angry. I felt like I had done something wrong. I attempted a small bit of humor about a late checkout. Nope. I was also advised that my space was needed soon (so get out). I handed my money through the tiny window and we tried to hurry and leave. Not sure if we will attempt to stay here again.

We stayed 1 night while traveling through the area twice during about a 3-month period on a return visit. The park is about a 2-mile drive from I-5 (Exit 673: Knighton Rd) along rural 2 lane road that parallels the Interstate. Check in was conducted through the side window of the office during business hours. The interior roads are paved. The interior roads and turns are sufficient to maneuver larger RV’s for an experienced driver. The majority of the sites appear to be pull throughs with... Read More

The majority of the sites appear to be pull throughs with a few pull ins / back ins. The parking pads are concrete. The P/T sites were long enough to stay connected but seemed to be 2 sites joined along the parking pad making one a back in. The sites were generally level and flat. Sites had sufficient room for opening slides. Some of the sites appear to be extended stay sites. Distance and grassy areas establish privacy between the sites. They have full hook ups – water, electricity (50/30/20 AMP), & sewer. The sewer connection was at the ground so it was easy to establish a downhill flow but the sewer fitting was in a concrete well making it difficult to ensure an air tight connection. The was an outside table. There were a couple of group fire pits. Pretty quiet considering the distance to the Interstate highway. Shower building centrally located. The building was a little cold. The stalls could have used some hooks to hang towels/clothing. There were quite a few trees scattered throughout the park and around the perimeter so satellite reception would be dependent upon your site and dish configuration. Was able to get DISH programing with a portable dish sitting on the ground. The park information listed 30 cable channels but didn’t mention anything about OTA. Didn’t use the cable. OTA scan revealed 47 stations but only 1 major network (ABC). The park provided password protected WiFi was adequate for travel research and information. Didn’t try our NET10 phone or Winegard AIR 360+ WiFi so don’t know about reception. There was one designated fenced pet area towards the front of the park with waste collection options. There is a user-controlled light for night use. Didn’t seen any bag dispensers / waste collection stations around the park. There was sufficient area to walk dogs along the park’s roads.

Very nice and green and wide open. At first glance I thought the freeway noise would be a distractor, but the river sites are far enough away the noise is not obnoxious when sitting outside. We had a great view of the Sacramento river from our coach and truly enjoyed our visit. Friendly and courteous staff.

We only stayed one night while traveling to Oregon. This facility had nice pull through sites, nice clean restrooms, cable tv, and a nice dog walk. We did not use the laundry or pool but both looked nice and clean. The park is adjacent to the Sacramento River and the grass area between the park and the river is real nice. The day we stayed was extremely hot. We would stay here again.

Lovely sites by the river.

If you want a beautiful setting without the interruptions of internet or cable TV, then this is your place. It is located on the river, but be sure to ask for one of those sites. The others are a parking lot. However, there are several other parks in Redding that have a great location, working internet, cable TV, and even continental breakfast...all for less!
