This is an absolutely gorgeous campground nestled in the bluff country. I wish my lawn was as plush and green as the grass is at this campground. The sites are level, immaculately maintained and well spaced. We didn't feel like we were right on top of our neighbors. The restroom and shower facilities are well maintained and clean. You can take advantage of the Root River by renting tubes, kayaks and canoes and get dropped off by their shuttle for a 2 or 4 hour trip down the river. They also rent bikes and there is trail access right at the campground to the Root River State Trail. Believe it or not there are NO MOSQUITOS here! We hated to leave this slice of heaven and will definitely be back.
