Amazing to find a campground nestled in a forest, next to a lake, with desert landscape on the other side of the lake. This campground has been completely renovated with new asphalt, buildings and facilities, plus interesting mixed use of cabins, event spaces, game room and tenting. The sites are level and long and some might appear to be a bit narrow due to the number of trees mostly back-in, but some pull-thrus each with a picnic table and most with a built-in bbq grill. There are fire pits at some of the sites, but probably depends upon proximity to the trees. The park personnel were lovely and work very hard to keep the entire park from being buried in pine needles! Lots of local birds and cheeky chipmunks kept us entertained. Due to the season, there was little boating at this time, so cannot comment on that aspect. We really enjoyed our stay.
