It's not a bad spot. The sites are relatively large and clean, basic firepits, picnic table and some sites have grills. The whole campground is shaped like a horse shoe with, what I believe, all sites in the center of the horse shoe setup with full hookups and all the edge sites have none. In the middle of the horse shoe is a playground, volleyball court, tetherball, horse shoes and the lone bathroom. There is also a swimming pool near the main road and the office. I camped there for a week with other families and the place was nearly empty for the entire week. Over all the facility itself was very nice. The owners, they are a different story. We were told they would assign us our sites when we got there and that checkin was 2:00 - okay, no big deal. Some of us got there on Sunday and got setup, others arrived on Monday. The Monday crew got there late (about 9:00 PM) and were immediately yelled at for making too much noise in the empty campground (it was not really loud, just basic setup noises). The same night some kids were playing in the playground (not ours) and got yelled at to leave, then the guy came and yelled at all of us for letting our kids in the playground after dusk, he also yelled at us for being too loud (we really weren't) after quiet time (and it wasn't quiet time yet). Okay. The next day the guy stops some of our kids in the street and yells (yes, I mean YELLS) at them to tell us to put our passes on our mirrors. BTW, they were there. Saturday rolls around and we are packing up. I am running a little late because it had rained and I was trying to get the wet stuff stowed carefully. The other owner comes by and tells me to hurry up, checkins start at noon and people are already arriving. It was 11:15, I was told checkins were 2:00 for us and quite frankly, nobody was there checking in. I know some of this sounds petty and like we were at fault, or we are just disrespectful campers. I can assure you we are all experienced campers and are very respectful, in fact we spent a couple of hours helping a woman, her mother and two daughters setup their tent in the site next to us. They did not know how to set it up and when we finished we found that they had no rain fly and helped them rig a tarp. The male owner never once spoke to us in a calm manner, he was always yelling and swearing. I will never go back there and sadly I would not recommend it to anyone. The owner should probably retire. We camped at Pleasant River Campground in a Travel Trailer.
