The Susanville RV Park has high ratings for its restrooms. Unfortunately they are locked 7 pm to 7 am with no access to anyone, guests included. On the morning of my stay, the restrooms stayed locked until sometime after 8:30 am when I departed the facility. I called the local number for the office and left a message at 7:30 am asking them to be opened. There was no response, and we left without taking a shower. The restrooms were very nice when they were open.

We stayed 1 night while traveling through the area. The park is a couple of blocks off the main road through town (CA-36) along residential roads but there are some sharp turns. The interior roads are paved. The interior roads and turns are sufficient to maneuver larger RV’s for an experienced driver. The majority of the sites appear to be pull throughs with a few back ins along the outer perimeter of the park. The parking pads are concrete. The P/T sites were long enough to stay connected.... The majority of the sites appear to be pull throughs with a few back ins along the outer perimeter of the park. The parking pads are concrete. The P/T sites were long enough to stay connected. The sites were generally level and flat. Sites had sufficient room for opening slides. Some of the sites appear to be extended stay sites. Distance and grassy areas establish privacy between the sites. They have full hook ups – water, electricity (50/30/20 AMP), & sewer. The utility connections were on a concrete island about mid site making the sewer fitting above ground so establishing a downhill flow would be dependent upon discharge point. There was an outside table. There were quite a few trees scattered throughout the park and around the perimeter so satellite reception would be dependent upon your site and dish configuration. Was able to receive DISH programming using a portable dish sitting on the ground through a gap in the tree line. The park lost its’ cable provider so only OTA available. Scan showed 22 OTA channels. Didn’t try the park provided password protected WiFi or the NET10 phone so don’t know about cell phone reception. The one designated fenced pet area towards the front of the park had several runs with gravel. There were bag dispensers / waste collection stations around the park. There was sufficient area to walk dogs along the park’s roads. We would probably stay here again if traveling through the area.

We stayed for one night in mid October and enjoyed the visit and the weather was great at that time of year. They don't have cable TV but after some shifting we found a spot that would pick up a good satellite signal and we were happy. Also there is free TV out of the air or you can stream. The site and park are very clean with nice paved spaces and roadways and lots of green grass at the sites. Very convenient and nice pet area. We will definitely stay here again. Beautiful, clean, easy to access RV park. Individual sites are spacious, easy to get into, and are paved, level, and roomy. They advised us that there is no cable when we checked in, which was fine. We were able to stream a show on netflix. The bathrooms were clean. I was not able to get hot water for my shower, but that could have been user error. The park is dog friendly and has a nice pet area. We wil include Susanville RV on our list of parks to stay at in the future. This was perfect for our... Read More

Access is easy into this nice quiet park. It is clean and well kept with paved roads and sizable concrete sites, grassy areas between sites and some nice shade trees. Easy and friendly check-in. Water, electric and sewer hookups were fine. As for their cable TV, about half the channels on the list they provided actually worked. WiFi was a little frustrating as it kept dropping out but worked often enough to meet my needs. Bathrooms and showers were nice and clean. I would rate higher if not for... Read More

Extra charge for 50 amp. Only other place I ran into that was at a KOA. Pet area terrible. I couldn't get my dog into it because of the stickers she had to walk through. The spaces are okay but in many the concrete is broken or coming up. The current rating definitely needs to be re-reviewed. When I checked in Iwas asked if I wanted to pay for 2 days because if I had to leave for any reason I would lose my money for the next day. Why would you ask that?

We chose this facility based on the high Good Sam Rating. The facility is clean, the staff is professional, and helpful. Probably one of the best sites we had during our month on the road. The laundry area is top notch!!! The cleanest one yet!!! We had a nice grass area, level cement pad, and loved the peace and quiet at night. No road noise, just an occasional car race at the fairgrounds, but it ended early. We stayed for six nights, and were offered the next night free!!! Thank you for providing... Read More

stay was very comfortable. even enjoyed the sound of the race cars at the fairgrounds. The only thing that didn't appeal to us was the restrooms. They weren't all that clean and the shower stall had a lot of patch work done to it. toilet was not well cleaned.

With such high reviews you would think it would be better. Dog runs were just like a dog in a cage. Very disappointing, lots of full timers here. Dead trees, weeds and spiderwebs on bushes. Not very well maintained property.

This a very nice park, & even though they had about half the sites closed due to the seasonal influences of this area, was a great park with roomy & overall well kept sites & common areas. My only warning is that the entrance from the street has a very sharp angle that can cause low centering at the rear of the RV or towed vehicle. BE VERY CAREFUL ENTERING OFF THE STREET.

Very nice well planned campground. Nice wide and long sites. Designed for big rigs. Stes have cement pads, trees and grass. Wi Fi worked perfect as many other camprounds have flaws. Staff was great and fellow campers were nice. The only negative, some sites have cracked cement pads that are loose.
