Hesitant to make this wonderful little city-run park known but figure that the odds are most of you will not venture way out in the prairies of N/W Nebraska.
Only 30 sites with a mix of FHU and lesser utilities. There is a dump station on the property if you don’t get a sewer site. The sites are level and widely spaced with beautiful grass areas. Roads and surfaces all paved and clean. Sites were arranged to maximize the view of the giant bluffs nearby (Scott’s Bluff National Monument). Super friendly staff checks you in thru a window in his tiny office. No bells or whistles here…no playground, pool or bouncy house…which means fresh air and peace and quiet. No large shade trees so sat reception good.
Close to shopping (Walmart) and “dining” in Scotts Bluff. The main attraction in the area is the Scotts Bluff National Monument a journey back in time to Pioneer days, located at the natural landmark and marking the divergence of the Oregon, Mormon and California Trails, the wagon ruts are still visible in some areas.

This is not a fancy park but it is nicely laid out with trees and room between sites. Great view of ScottsBluff! The sites are long and level. WII FI works well enough although it had some downtime. Cable was fine with the little oddity of having a separate remote that you actually point to the box outside. It's quiet at night but picks up a bit in the morning as people leave for work. As it was off season, the office wasn't staffed a full day but we never had an issue getting in touch with someone. Staff were very friendly and were often seen working around the park. Although we never felt unsafe, it was nice to see patrol cars checking everything out. This park seems to be kind of in the middle of nowhere but it stays busy. We would return if we were in the area. We camped at Robidoux RV Park in a Motorhome.

Appeal Rating I found this park to be better than the ratings as shown. Very clean and nice shower, lots of room in between RV's, and lost of grass for the dogs. I really didn't notice a problem with wifi as I used it

Appeal Rating If you travel the Plains you may have encountered small towns with RV parking in their local parks, maybe even with plug-in, and been very thankful. Rv Parks can be few. Here in Gering this park is owned and operated by the city. This is a full service park with two onsite host families and full hookup on over 40 sites. The access roads are all blacktop and the pads level and long cement. The arrangement is odd, maybe done by a city committee, our site and a few others is pull-in and back-out. Which is ok there is a great view out our windshield. Other pull-throughs are double, the second unit will be nose to tail. Extensions for all your cords and hoses is always good to carry.
The park is beautiful, lots of flowers and shrubbery, middle age trees have some to go yet, and expanses of green lawns which are auto sprinkled in the morning. This is all expertly maintained by city employees, it's their job. The sites are very far apart with lots of grass. Each site has a picnic table.
Wi-Fi is just passable, can be ok but then bog down. Cable TV is excellent with over 100 channels. They issue you a remote to control your tv, it works.
The laundry is clean and not too expensive. The bathrooms are functionally clean and adequate. The design is rather like camp bathrooms and you are reminded that this a city owned park.
The showers are clean and hot.
This park is really extraordinary, they could have gotten another rv between every site and people would still have stayed here. There is space and lots of good walking. The hosts are very helpful. You even see the police frequently because it is city property. A couple of permanents that are a little ragged don't take away from the totally pleasant atmosphere. Get a reservation for a site that suites your needs.
