This was the 3rd year we've stayed at Shadow Mountain RV Park. The new owners are expanding and making even better view spots. Lake Sutherland is across the street and the views are amazing! Very clean and tranquil park.

Hosts are friendly and are working hard to improve the park from previous ownership. The location is beautiful and near two lakes. No TV and limited WiFi at this time.

They have opened a new area where the tent campers used to be. No gravel, just bulldozed dirt. The old RV park is full of old full time residents. The new area is 30amp, water, sewer. No shade, just a big dirt cut into the side of a hill. No where near level. In fact I had 18 inch drop from the front to back of my trailer. I had to use 4 wheel drive to climb the drive up into this area and 4 wheel low and drag the trailer brake down the hill and off camber turn to get out. Definitely not worth the... Read More

Overall I was very VERY pleased with our stay at Shadow Mountain RV in Port Angeles. The park was easy to access and it also had a store with a gas station on property. The camp site itself was plenty of room for our 40ft RV. It had grass for the kids to play around on. Also a picnic table and fire pit which was nice. Restrooms and laundry were very clean. The new owners were very friendly and helped us with any questions we had! Overall an A+. The family and I will be returning in the future!

I love the Port Angeles area. It's a must stop on our way up to Canada. We decided to find a friendly convenient campground. Must admit blown away by how friendly the new owners were. All the hookups worked just fine. My dog felt comfortable and safe. Perfect place to camp along the stars. Reservation was correct. Staff was friendly and efficient. Sites are tight. There are trees that provide a visual break between rows but neighbors are very close. Sites are assigned based on the length of your... Read More

There are trees that provide a visual break between rows but neighbors are very close. Sites are assigned based on the length of your rig. Tow vehicle is parked perpendicular to trailer. Still took up some of the roadway but thankfully there wasn't a lot of traffic. The park provided us access to trails we wanted to explore. We camped at Shadow Mountain Campground RV Park in a Travel Trailer. If you love the outdoors like Hurricane Ridge this is the place to be. It's also great to go to craft shows too. Campground was just perfect super accessible. Bonus points for the kind new owners. It makes such a huge difference when folks are friendly especially when you are not familiar with the area. You will want to stay here to cook s'mores and sit under the stars.
