This small campground is a wonderful place to stay while driving the Natchez Trace. Yes, it is small, with gravel interior roads and sites. Yes, it is cash only. Yes, it has no wifi and limited cell phone coverage. Having said that, it is peaceful and quiet. The only noise was from the toads and other critters at night. We had a nice shady spot that required some leveling. Some of the sites are a bit tight ours was on the end facing the picnic pavilion. The laundry facility was dusty, but... Read More

The pool was located away from most of the sites.

Not at all as pictured. All gravel spots, roads washed out - stayed for a week (cash only), and not a single thing was done to improve the roads, despite the owner telling us they were being repaired when we checked in. Bathroom closed, advertised laundry facilities consist of one household washer and one household dryer. Absolutely NO wifi signal available in the area, and very little shade. Will NEVER stay here again. I have very little positive to say about it - there is a very nice small pool,... Read More

The Park is right off the Parkway and a bit tight for a DP (45') towing. I took an apparently seldom used pull-thru with water and electric. The leveling system had to raise one of the drive tires off the gravel to level it, but no real issues. This was a site (22) with no shade, but adequate for my needs. The 50 amp service was faulty and the ATS would not close, so I had to use 30 amps until the owner swapped out the faulty breaker. Once I informed him of the issue, he got right on it! This is... This is a bare-bones park, but acceptable. Clean and the trees were trimmed and grass cut. I didn't use the bathrooms so I can't comment on them. ATT 4G was 2-3 bars. I look for quiet and clean and got that. They accept Escapees, Good Sam, and Passport America cash or check only. I stayed for 2 nights and would come back again when passing through.

The Campgrounds are very close to the Natchez Parkway. The man who met us at the desk after we called the posted number was friendly. The sites are pretty level and most are fairly accessible. A few of the lots are shaded. The map is a little deceiving: Some of the pull-throughs hold two campers so you might pull in. But you will back out. The laundry facility (1 washer, 1 dryer) is at the Northeast corner of the grounds and the only restroom (one room with a toilet and a shower) is at the Northeast... Read More

The laundry facility (1 washer, 1 dryer) is at the Northeast corner of the grounds and the only restroom (one room with a toilet and a shower) is at the Northeast corner. The low rating on the restrooms reflects quantity, not quality. (Since they are building a new office, maybe there will be more restrooms.) We did not try the pool. I kind of wonder about businesses that accept cash only. That fact should be better advertised. We would probably come back the next time we are in this area.
