We arrived at Bluewater Key RV Resort on Nov 19, 2023 for a two week stay in Site 44. Nice wide site with pavers and a Tiki Hut that had nice decking. The furniture was average with worn out cushions. The inside of the cabinets had not been cleaned. The faucet on the sink needs replacing. Still we enjoyed the beautiful view and being right on the water. Lot 43 next to us was empty our entire stay with the exception of the kids from lot 42 (Owners). Nice, well behaved kids; kids being kids. The first... Read More

Still we enjoyed the beautiful view and being right on the water. Lot 43 next to us was empty our entire stay with the exception of the kids from lot 42 (Owners). Nice, well behaved kids; kids being kids. The first call to the office we had to make was the kids using the vacant RV lot 43 next to us for a skateboard park. It was after hours so we didn't pursue it until the next day and were told to call while it's happening or they can't do anything. Thanksgiving later afternoon the kids were back to playing in the vacant RV lot and then realized we were in the Tiki hut trying to watch TV and began staring at us through the divider bushes. At this point I asked the kids to go back by their parents, which they did. A few minutes later two men approached from the vacant RV lot acting all tough. We told them the situation and they said their friends owned the lot so it was ok for the kids to play there, but they would talk to the kids about staring at us through the brush. I called the after hour number and was told it's Thanksgiving and he was off site and told us to enjoy our Thanksgiving. So basically, our discomfort at this luxury resort didn't matter and you are not really suppose to use that number. These two experiences definitely ruined our time here. Rules apply to you, but not owners, i.e., Lot 42 = 2 Motorhomes and over 6 people on one site! You won't get the beautiful sunsets at this Park but will get the sunrise. The only thing for kids to do is swim, no playground. You are at least 15-20 minutes from town. The wind blew almost every day. Nice RV Park, but in no way a Luxury RV Park. There are less expensive parks on the water, closer to town or in town. Cost was $350+ a night.

A definite 5 star motor home "resort". We had a 40 foot motorhome towing a vehicle . Pave stones Rv sites. A bay or lagoon view. We were at site 19 that had it's own tiki hut with fridge, microwave, sink, running water, tv with cable. Had a heated pool excellent Wi-fi and trash pickup daily in front of your sIte. In our opinion the only thing that could've made this place better was if they have had a private beach. About 20 minute drive to Key West.

We visited Bluewater Key RV resort (mile marker 14) for a long weekend (Fri-Mon) in December 2019. Our site number was 57, pull-in, pavered, on the bay side with an attached tiki hut that had lounge and dining furniture, a television and small bar with outdoor fridge and counter space (no sink). There was also a private boat dock. The site was very well maintained. Lush landscaping provided ample privacy from our neighbors on each side. The tiki hut also had wind screens that the maintenance... Read More

There was also a private boat dock. The site was very well maintained. Lush landscaping provided ample privacy from our neighbors on each side. The tiki hut also had wind screens that the maintenance crew would raise/lower at your request. Given the time of year and the constant breeze, we spent most of our time outside in the tiki hut. We travel with a German Shepherd and Corgi, therefore pet facilities are important to us. There is a dedicated dog park that was landscaped and well maintained, and provided plenty of room for our dogs to do their business. The dog park is not fenced and the resort has strict rules about pets being on leash (non-retractable) at all times. We brought long leashes for the dogs to be tied up in the tiki hut yet still allow them room to roam on our site. Overall, very happy with pet amenities and we had no issues. Office and maintenance staff were very friendly. Check in and out was very easy. Key West is about 10 miles from Bluewater Key and there are only two places to get food close by the resort. We did not tow a car but did bring our bikes. The Uber ride to Key West was roughly $40 each way. (We knew all of this going into the trip so this is not a criticism.) Each morning we rode our bikes to Baby's Coffee which has delicious coffee and bagel sandwiches. For lunch and dinner, we rode to Baypoint Market for subs, drinks and other easy food (i.e. pasta salad, coleslaw). The subs were delicious, as was the pulled pork and brisket. The Market also has a limited supplies section. Both stops were an easy bike ride on a dedicated bike path. Overall, it was a lovely trip with plenty of relaxation. We will definitely visit again.

We stayed there a week. I was escorted to the site and it was a pull in site. The site was beautiful. It had a nice Tiki hut with wet bar and tv. The site was waterfront and had a dock. The water depth at the dock was about 8 foot, but twenty foot out it went to ablot 1 foot and stayed that way. No interesting fish or marine life when you snorkel. Fishing was ok. Had to use small panfish hook and only caught small mangtove snapper and grunts. Tried various live bait. The pool was nice... Read More

Office people seem somewhat unfriendly, while the service/maintenance staff couldn't be more helpful. This is a top-end facility and priced accordingly. Good access to Key West, found some nice restaurants within 20 minute drive.

Beautiful location and park, most RV's were Class A and higher end. Staff was friendly. RV lost are secluded with nice landscaping so you do not see the unit next to you, very private. It was almost impossible to get Dish TV in RV due to location. Our unit had cement pad with tiki hut with running water, TV and patio furniture, reception on outdoor tiki hut TV was good. It was very nice. The pool was small but nicely maintained. The restrooms were clean but small and only one sink, no place to... Read More

The laundry facilities were nice with a TV and ample seating while waiting for laundry. The view of the stars in the evening was amazing. If you do not have a tow car, their is a shuttle about 1/4 mile down the road that takes you to Key West, it is only $3.00 for seniors but a long ride for only 14 miles, takes over an hour, even longer on the return shuttle. Cab ride was about $40. Very nice RV resort.

Great Private Place with Great Water Views.

Beautiful park, very friendly staff and very helpful. I stayed bayside with my two dogs and what a view we had. Docks at all makes fishing real easy. They have a dog park and a people park with horse shoe pits, the only thing they didn't have was a camp store but overall 5 stars all the way.
