Cherry Hill Park

Very clean RV campground including bath house, laundry, dog park, play grounds, walking trail,,,. We really enjoy staying this campground. We definitely come back next spring for seeing cherry blossom in DC.

Pros: clean, well-maintained grounds, large RV sites, plenty of amenities. Cons: 1) our satellite had difficulty locating a signal due to tree branches - please trim the branches. 2) Most of the staff are friendly, however, the park employee that lived across from our site walked to the middle of the street and loudly expressed his concern about our neighbor's 2 small dogs barking. The employee should have handled this situation professionally and calmly. 3) The first day we arrived we ate at the park's cafe. Hubby had the steak/cheese sandwich and immediately fell ill from food poisoning. We are full-time rvers. Sadly, we will not be returning to this park.

We are full time RV family. Husband is an Covid Response ICU nurse in Maryland on assignment traveling from CA to TX to MD with our adult son and 8 yr old son. We absolutely loved this park. Everyone was very friendly and accommodating. There are many activities for toddlers, like the water park and playground or school age kids & teenagers like the pool, playground, basketball, movie nights, arcade room and fishing at the pond. And great for adults as well. Our only disappointment was that as Covid response ICU nurse family we were not able to stay the full 13 weeks of the contract and had to jump around to KOA and even all the way to Gettysburg PA one weekend (off work thankfully) just to have a place to stay. (We have a 42 ft 5th wheel). all because we have a "school age child" and even during summer vacation and we are homeschooling from Texas! But our neighbor next to us was also travel nurses but had a child that was 3 yrs old and they were able to stay. All because of some "County" Rule, nothing to do with Cherry Hill but a rule for that county ONLY. No one else had this rule, which was so frustrating moving every week or two. We were going to be stuck with no place to stay one weekend and no way to run our A/C in 90 degree heat and they let us come in for the weekend. So we love this campground! This county needs to make exceptions for Covid response medical professionals who have traveled a long way to help out their community. But again nothing to do with Cherry Hill. So if you are gong with school age children even in the summer, I would call and check with them first to see if anything has changed. This RV park/campground has been around over 100 years and they really have used all that experience to make an amazing place to stay!

This was our first experience with an RV in an RV park. It could not have been more satisfactory! Everyone here was patient and encouraging to our questions and inexperience. The bus to the Metro was so simple and convenient that we grew comfortable early in this visit with visiting DC. Amazingly clean and comfortable with all the amenities.

We have never been so impressed with a campground. If you have ever been on a cruise, you will understand what I mean. Things are set up and easy. The bus, tours, charging to your site, services . What other campground could you find RV service while you take a tour ? Then, schedule a RV wash and wax while a dog walker takes your pup for a walk. Top notches and 5 stars in my opinion.

Don't hesitate, book this campground! So close to metro station, five minutes with little traffic, or you can take their bus to the station. Excellent choice for a home base when touring DC! Hot tub at the end of a long day of walking was appreciated! Multiple pools and a splash pad for Kiddos. Oh, and updated mini golf course too- so cute and fun! Very safe and secure campground. We transferred to Cherry Hill last minute after reading reviews from the KOA. We are SO GLAD we did! Clean, professional, safe, large campground with EASY access to DC! Perfect for us! Would highly recommend to our closest friends. (And we heard that they take the KOA discount too, we used our Good Sam, but helpful to know.)

What a wonderful site. So many things to offer, you never have to leave. But if you do they offer a city bus stop right on site to the metro. Which we took right into DC. The staff is super friendly, HUGE laundry room. Very clean and well appointed. Big machines you could even wash a comforter or standard size. Park itself is very pretty and a joy to walk around. Club house and eating area stayed open very late. Even had a hot tub!

Traveling full-time in a 38-foot coach we stayed 23-nights in a site for big rigs (site # 506). Pd $69 night. The good..if you desire to stay close to DC this would be an excellent choice. This is a very well-kept and quiet park with great amenities. There's a cafe on site plus they offer a travel/trip adviser. Take advantage of this as their expertise will help make your excursions into DC much easier. There's even a bus stop at the front of the park. If you have a dog there's ample area to walk your pet plus a fenced dog park. This park has decent wifi and our AT&T phones worked great here. Our satellite did receive reception, however most of the sites have way to many trees to receive satellite reception. This is not a dusty park so the dust on your coach will be minimal compared to many other parks. Big coaches need a gravel pad, so we give this RV Park a 5-star rating for the thick gravel pad. Each site had room at the side of the coach for sitting and relaxing while BBQ'ing. The bad...if your site is next to the freeway you may hear some traffic noise and in the wintertime the noise is a little more noticeable due to the lack of tree leaves blocking the sound. This is a great place to stay and we highly recommend it!

This is the perfect place to stay when visiting Washington DC. It is a well kept, full service RV Park. There is a restaurant, pool, water play area, mini golf, 2 dog runs, play ground, laundry and multiple bath houses. The staff are very knowledgeable about visiting DC and can book various tours and activities, for you. We did no use those services as they also provide thorough information on visiting DC using public transit. The public bus stops right in the campground. Will definitely stay here whenever we are in the vicinity of DC.

We stayed form July 27 - July 30, 2018. This is one of the very best RV parks that we have stayed. The location of the park and the ease of getting to the Washington, DC area is a big plus. The facility and the staff are first rate. The RV lots are excellent. Even though they gravel our leveling system did not sink. These sites are dressed after every departure. We had our 5 year old granddaughter with us and she had so much fun that she wanted to stay longer. I recommend Cherry Hill to anyone traveling to the DC area.
