We stayed there is a seasonal RV Site starting on May 25, 2021, departing September 9, 2021. There was only one restroom for the entire park and I believe the park as 220 sites of which 140 are seasonal. The park has a nice location and from all appearances it would be an excellent trip and I suspect one could say that if they stayed there for a couple days. However the owners idea of seasonal and our idea of seasonal is that when you pull into your site you expect it to be level and you expect it to be graveled, neither of which was the case. They stated in their contract the tenants are responsible for their site and we added grass and a mat and we paid for both dirt and gravel to be put where we could park our car out of the mud. The fact of the matter is, the owner should have leveled the site leveled where the RV is part and provided a gravel foundation for both your car and your RV. The fact that they literally expect you to maintain the lot and there are many who do a lot to theirs, there are many whose RV lots look as if they are from the barrio. People around us were exceptionally friendly but they also agreed that the owners do very little to maintain almost 3 to 400,000 worth of revenue, that would be the 140 seasonal sites. We asked a number of times for them to do something and it was always the same, will send somebody but by the time you have pulled in, set up your RV and you're supposed to be in Maine for three months what are you going to do. They are relatively young approximately mid-20s owners, they do not understand customer service and while I appreciate that they say you can decorate your own seasonal site, much appreciated, they do nothing to prepare your site and they do nothing about those sites and look as if there part of a homeless encampment. If you're going to stay there for a few days is probably okay but you don't have showers if you're in the lower section, and if you're going to be a seasonal, buyer beware. There's no way to tell who you will be spending the next three months with, how loud their dog is and whether or not people next door or across the way even know how to pick up their own trash. They seem to try and focus on big rigs in the lower part of the park but those have no trees and as we saw during the rains, a good part of lower-level flooded with water over the roads and RV spots with two and 3 inches of water at the sites. I did not spend money to come up there for three months to pull into a site that hadn't even been leveled, cleaned up, or raked from a year's worth trees droppings. There really isn't anything more that you can say, the site should have been leveled and it should have been prepared not sold as a seasonal site that you are required to bring up to standard before you can ever use it. The seasonal site is not any type of the value when all you get is some crappy land with water sewer and electric and then they overcharge your monthly electric bill so they make a profit over what the electric companies making I would not go back and would not recommend this to anyone

Great facility. Large pull through campsites that looked like they could accommodate well over 45 ft RVs. Only difficulty was getting out of the campground at the end of our stay due to the amount of traffic on the highway.

Decent facility that is showing its age a bit. New owners have plans to do some updating. Transit spots are nice and large. Pull through are very roomy. WiFi is spotty at best - was not able to stream. Restrooms and showers are clean. Facility is quiet (no road noise).

We stayed for a week and really enjoyed visiting Bar Harbor. These new owners are really nice and will help you out in any fashion. The park is clean, quite and the sites have plenty of room. It's nice being off the "island" and somewhat away from the traffic of Bar Harbor. We would return for another stay.

The upper part of the campground is entirely seasonal (or longer) campers. The lower part is mostly for short term and has adequate space between sites and the site lengths are very good. We had trouble with electricity there (breaker tripped a number of times) but the owner fixed it right away after we called. It is an open field in the middle but for the cost, not bad. There are nicer places near Bar Harbor as this is a ways away but overall, the experience was nice staying there. The check in was easy and friendly.

This is a large RV park with seasonal sites in a wooded area and nightly sites out in an open field. The pull through sites are very long so even the biggest rigs will have no problem. However, these sites are fairly close together so depending upon how your neighbor is positioned in his site you may "brush shoulders". The people at the main check in are very nice and provide a terrific info packet for Acadia National Park and surrounding area. Everything was in good shape and clean including the restrooms. The driveways are asphalt with no potholes, however there are some seriously uneven areas that will have your RV rocking if you don't go super slow. Site pads are gravel with a picnic table and fire ring. There was free WiFi but it was generally too slow to use. We paid $48 per night for a 50amp full hook up site with Good Sam discount.

We visit Timberland Acres several times a year. (Not as often as we would like.) A great place to stay! Clean. Lots of room. Some of the most friendly people we have ever met gather here.

Unless you are staying In the upper part of the park, the rest is an open field. No views, no trees no nothing except for a barren lot. After a beautiful day in the national park, it would have been nice to come home to a nice campsite. There are many others closer to Bar Harbor with much nicer facilities!
