We stopped here on our way back to RI from Florida. Our stay was very pleasant. We would recommend staying here.

Traveling Interstate 95 north we decided to try Florence RV Park. The office was unstaffed. Sign on the door stated they would return at 3:15pm. Oh my...we had to wait 45 minutes! What a surprise to see all the signs on the office and laundry room door beginning with the word NO !!! No alcoholic beverages in the building, NO shirt, NO shoes, NO service plus other signs too!!! Staff returned and they were polite and gave us a site to accommodate our 36 foot fifth wheel. Nightly rate for the... Read More

Went into the club house and looked like the ping pong table and card table with 4 chairs were new...NICE. It looked very clean. Continue into laundry room. Saw 3 dryers: ONLY 1 working, 5 washers: ONLY 3 working. Good to see they had Out Of Order signs on the machines not working. A sign stated may ONLY use 2 washers at a time per guest! Overhead ceiling panel looked like it could fall down any minute! Nicely decorated bulletin board in laundry room but wondered, "How long do the washers wash for?...25 minutes or more??? Did not see a sign for that. Again more signs on the bulletin board beginning with the word NO! Did not use restrooms. All in all NOT a welcoming place.

A bit tired looking, broken tables and cut cable so no tv. Some sites very rooty. Stayed to be close to totality for eclipse. Good for one night if you need to stop. Otherwise not much to recommend.

If you can avoid this campground then do so. We stopped just as an overnight while headed home. It was convenient to get too right off I 95. The entrance and road leading down to the office was very nice. That is the best part of this campground. Once you pass the office things go down hill quick. 1. Some of the roads were paved at one point and have deteriorated so bad that they appear to be gravel. 2. We had no cable service at our site. The 3 people in the office said they would drive around with a TV and test some of the other sites to try and find service and then I could move my spot. Moving my spot after just setting up was not an option. They blamed it on outdated equipment bought at Lowes. Cable came up out of ground to 3 way splitter and then back into the ground. Local couple staying in adjoining site said the campground has not had cable in about a year. I used antenna and picked up about 12 stations which was ok since we were just spending one night. 3. large pond by the office is very attractive looking. It attracts geese and ducks which are numerous and they roam the campground freely. There is goose droppings ALL OVER the sites. 4. No garbage cans to be found anywhere. Just a dumpster by the office. 5. Office hours as posted were 9am to 6pm. My camper pantry had more items than the store. There was a number posted to call if you needed someone which leads me to # 6. 6. At about 8pm a man came by asking if I knew how to contact anyone at campground. He has been trying for over 1 1/2 hrs. He had no electric at his site or at the ones next to him. The temps in Florence were above 84 even at this time of night. He was mad. He turned down my offer to come into my camper and cool off. I did notice a house on the other side of the campground and directed him there hoping they were employees or owners. 7. WI FI, It was not provided by the campground. You had to sign up for it thru another company after signing off on all kinds stuff. It was free for the first 24 hrs after you provide them with code given to campers by the office. After that you have to pay. I used that type of service once about 10 yrs ago and they still charged me admin costs. Never again. 8. can't comment on bathrooms since I never used them 9. The pool looked clean but I did not use it 10. I asked one of the staff where the closet gas station was and he gave me directions. " I see campers there all the time" There were two stations just off the I 95 exit. One had a big sign "Cars only" and the other had a low roof over the pumps that would have hit my A/C unit. I tried pulling in but had to back out. Travel trailers would be fine with the height but 5th wheels should use caution. Thanks for the useless info. Next exit south on I 95 was fine for getting fuel for me. The young lady working the desk was very nice and polite as well as the two men helping out. I do not know if they were owners or hired help. Campground needs to invest some $$ back into the business before it is too late.

Average at best. Clean but worn. Internet horrible. We did get reception for tv. Pool and playground on site. Sites are dirt and fairly level; roads are gravel. Sites fairly close. Concrete pad for well worn picnic tables. Nice pond with geese...watch where u walk! Area has shops, restaurants, etc within a few miles. Not much to do in the town otherwise. Myrtle Beach about an hour away. Darlington Raceway close by. Occupants largely overnighters from close-by interstate, and long term... Read More

Price seemed a little steep given lack of tourism in immediate area and age/condition of campground but choices in this area are limited.

I have used this Campgrounds for three winter seasons now during our trips from PA to FL and home again. It's attraction is the easy off and on I-95 and a local sports bar for Sunday sports. The cable TV has never worked. A different employee and excuse every time. There is plenty of ground for pets but you get broken concrete and tree roots at the site in exchange. It is a camp grounds not a RV Park.

Office staff was very friendly and accommodating. I was given direction to the site and was met by the owner who helped me get parked and level. Nice long site. I didn't have to unhook. Like the other reviews have said, this is a good place for an overnight stop. Easy on and off I-95. I wouldn't call this a destination CG. Site was a mix of gravel and sand. Some grass between overnight sites. Electric, water and water pressure and TV hook up worked flawlessly. Pool is very clean. Lots... Read More

There are several long term residents who have not kept up their trailers. ATT and Verizon very strong both data and voice. Did not use the camp WiFi nor any of the bathrooms nor showers. (That's what self contained is all about). Picnic table is unusable.
