This facility is great. Living west of Atlanta, this is a place we go annually and we are amazed at the improvements they make every year. On the way to the park this year we had the unfortunate experience of two blown tires. These happened at different times so after the second we were able to drop our fifth wheel at a local business and try to find a tire. We were not able to find the size we needed in Hiawasee and we headed to the park. I was hoping I could borrow a spare to finish the 25 miles... Read More

I was amazed at the response from Mike and staff. They had two tires the size I needed. They broke the tire down and mounted one tire and gave me the other. All this happened after the office was closed. With out their help I'm not sure how we would have made it to the park same day(evening). Get place to stay get views.

This campground is really great. They have lots of open space and things for kids to do. They have a lake with paddle boats, a new put put course and just added a new playground area across from where we camp each time we visit. The one drawback is the bathhouse at the main office. Not the one on the inside of their front door, but the one you enter from the pool side. It is in desperate need of a re-design. The other large bathhouses are great though. The campground is so spread out, that... Read More
