We stayed 2 nights to visit some attractions in the area. The park is located off US-89 along a rural 2 lane road. Entry into the park requires an admission fee and passing an entry point every return to the park. The interior roads are paved. The interior roads and turns are sufficient to maneuver larger RV’s for an experienced driver. The sites are generally level and flat. The parking pads surface are different by loops. The sites are a mixture of pull throughs and back ins. Some of... Read More

The interior roads and turns are sufficient to maneuver larger RV’s for an experienced driver. The sites are generally level and flat. The parking pads surface are different by loops. The sites are a mixture of pull throughs and back ins. Some of the P/T sites were long enough to stay connected to towed. Sites had sufficient room for opening slides. Not much distance between the sites – just enough room for tow vehicle parking. They have full hook ups – water, electricity (50/30/20 AMP), & sewer. In the F loop P/T sites, the utility connections were towards the rear of the site on a concrete island shared by adjoining sites making the sewer fitting above ground so establishing a downhill flow would be dependent upon discharge point. There was an outside table and BBQ. There are a few trees scattered throughout the park so satellite reception would be dependent upon your site and dish configuration. Was able to receive DISH programming using a portable dish sitting on the ground. No cable or OTA channels available. The park provided WiFi was adequate for email & travel research. Didn’t try the NET10 phone so don’t know about reception. No designated fenced pet areas or bag dispensers / waste collection stations around the park. Each loop has dumpsters for disposal. There was sufficient area to walk dogs along the park’s roads. We didn’t use the showers/restrooms or laundry. Park brochure shows $2.00 (per 8 minutes) for showers, $2.50 for washers & $1.50 for dryers. We would probably stay here again if returning to the area.

Wahweap RV Park was the 96th stop for us and stayed 10 night to see Antelope Canyon, Horseshoe Bend and other area attractions. If you have an rv and a vehicle but one National Park Pass, you will need to pay an additional $30 for the weekly pass as you enter the National Recreation Area, even if you have reservations. Unfortunately, it took one hour and 15 minutes for check in as there was one person at the desk, some confusion as to whether or not the site was cleared and a long line each of the... Read More

Unfortunately, it took one hour and 15 minutes for check in as there was one person at the desk, some confusion as to whether or not the site was cleared and a long line each of the three times I had to come back. But Jessica was working hard to try to take care of my stuff, people in the store and a host of other things. The site we were assigned was amazing with a view of the lake and spectacular scenery just outside our door. The facilities are fairly new and the park layout is well done with decent space between sites. The roads are paved as are the pads so no issue with leveling. There are also numerous sidewalks throughout the park which makes it interesting for the us and the dogs. WiFi was non-existent for us but was able to use the Verizon jet pack. In terms of connectivity (mid day on weekend): T-Mobile no service Verizon 10.5 down/0.31 up.

My brother in law recommended this park for us and it was a great 3 night stop. We have a 30' Class A motorhome with car in tow so we needed full hookups. The sites and infrastructure are very nice and well maintained. The roads are paved which is very nice to hold down the dust. We enjoyed Page and sightseeing and biking around the area and canyons. We would definitely stay here again, I don't think there is a bad site in the park. The only down side was the Glen Canyon Dam visitor center were... Read More

This place was amazing. The only ding I can give is that it's inside a national recreation area, and no one knows how to use the gates after hours. So if you plan on coming back after the gates are down you can be sitting for a long time. If you have a National Park pass, you can just skip the gate an go right in after hours. . .because you have already paid. :)

We stayed 5 nights. The campground is very nice, paved roads and concrete pads. Nice picnic area. Check in staff was polite. We didn't use the restroom facilities but the outside looked nice. Great view of the lake from our location. Two big issues was NO cable or air for TV signal and the wifi was non existent from our location. Also very week cell service. If you aren't there to watch TV or talk on the phone this is the place to be.

Right on Lake Powell. Easy access from highway and lots of room for big rigs. Check-in help was not very friendly or inviting but other than that all else was good. No Verizon wi-fi or cell service in camp area.

The Wahweap RV Park is an excellent base camp for all of your activities in and around Lake Powell and Page, AZ. Well laid-out RV park with large sites, fire pits, BBQs and picnic tables. The access and sites are paved and were easy to maneuver in our Class A and tow vehicle. Some landscaping (trees and shrubs) but we had no problems using our satellite. Nice paved walking trails around the park as well. The laundry was clean. The store had a few items. From our base camp here we were able... Read More

From our base camp here we were able to enjoy boating on Lake Powell, the Glen Canyon Dam Visitor Center, hiking at Antelope Canyon and Lee's Crossing as well as lots of other activities in the area. Be aware that you are in a National Park so an entry fee is required in addition to the site fees. If you have a senior pass - no worries!

Even though only May, summer crowds are showing up early. Park was full, glad we had made reservations. Pricey in itself, added to National Monument fee if you don't have a pass - we did. Because of recent surgeries had asked for site near the store so we didn't have to walk too far to showers, or store. Loop F, first spot, easy walk. As site at the beginning of the loop, it was next to the road; no issue with noise though. Level concrete large pad. Adjacent gravel spot large enough for... Read More

As site at the beginning of the loop, it was next to the road; no issue with noise though. Level concrete large pad. Adjacent gravel spot large enough for picnic table, grill and fire pit. Could have easily accommodated a tent as well. Saw many fire pits lit at night. No other overhead lighting, except right by bathrooms in each loop. Bring quarters if you want to take a shower. $2 for 15 min, more than enough time. Lots of water pressure. Showers and restrooms very clean.
