We stayed at 88 Shades for a month in March 2018, and felt at home right away. We loved 88 Shades from the beginning, so much so, that we decided to stay there for six months during the 2018/19 season. We got to Quartzsite in November 2018, and my husband and I both felt at home from the moment we got there. They've got lots of activities for anyone who would like to participate in, specifically, for me, it was the Jam Session on Mondays, and Kareoke on Sunday nights that were the highlights... We were so happy there we didn't want to leave to go back to the North. The proprietor of 88 Shades is a very caring person, who listens to what residents, both short and long term, have to say. He makes sure that we are all taken care of, listens to what we have to say, and always makes sure that any concerns are dealt with immediately. He's very quick to make sure that everyone is happy, which must be difficult sometimes, as there are over one hundred sites at 88 Shades. Overall, I would give 88 Shades a 9.8 out of 10 in all categories. I don't believe that you will be disappointed whether you stay there for a week, or six months like we did. Thanks so much for taking care of us for six months!

I stayed at this park for two months in winter of 2019. I was placed on the southern zone, close to the i10. There's a lot of traffic on this interstate, it's none stop, day and night, so constant back ground noise. Very annoying for my like. My biggest disappointement is the electric bill. Their meter doesn't work right!! They charged me around $45/month, when in other parks I was it was about $17/month. I got a tiny trailer, single guy, no hot water tank, I use my solar during daytime. Plus my... Read More

I got a tiny trailer, single guy, no hot water tank, I use my solar during daytime. Plus my neighbor was charged around $27/month, with a big 5th wheel trailer, hot water tank, A/C, the whole deal!! So if that isn't a proof something's wrong with my meter... I complained, but I got told those are meter readings, so that's it. Also, they charge $3 for reading the meter every month!! I don't know if that practice is common, but that's just a ridiculous fee to top it all. The restrooms aren't that clean. The showers were not that appealing, with a stinky moldy curtain. Laundry room has nice prices. There are several citrus trees on the premises, plus they recycle cans, bottles and cardboard. So three good things I enjoyed. Notice that most of the clients have permanent set ups, so it's not a travelling crowd. One neighbor has 2 small dogs constantly barking at everything that moves. I won't go back for sure.

If you are looking for a quick stay this place will work. Was to get a pull thru and ended up with a short connecting site for a 37ft 5th wheel, couldn't park the truck in out site it was that small. Laundry room is very nice and clean. Older machines but work well. Next to no working wi fi. Has 5 different addresses and even with a booster it worked badly. Hot tub was broken, Came in on Jan 7 2019 and it was finally fixed by Jan 31 2019. It was nice once fixed and running. Don't drink the water... Read More

Do yourself a favor and bring in bottled water. Will have to say this, fruit trees were wonderful and tasty.

If You're going to Quartzsite we recommend You stay at 88 Shades RV Park. We stayed 1 month in a 30' C-Class. $275.00 + .18kwh. Based on another review; because it was a pull through; we originally reserved site #94. Site #94 faces North to South and the HOT Desert Sun blasted us broadside all day long. On the 2nd day one of the Friendly Maintenance men; showed us to site D2, a back in facing East to West with a beautiful orange tree shading the back of our rig. 88 Shades offers plenty of... From a once a month Pot Luck Lunch to a weekly evening Campfire with Hotdogs, Smores and Live Entertainment. There is a Karaoke night, a Sing-A-Long night, Bingo night and more. There is even a free to use; almost regulation size professional Pool Table located in it's own building. 88 Shades is also with walking / bicycling distance of Gem Stores; Monuments and Museums. The most pleasant part about staying at 88 Shades RV Park were the people. The 20 or so Permanent Residents; the Employees and the Owner of the park made our stay very enjoyable. Do want to add this about the temperature in Quartzsite, AZ in May; 107 degrees 21 days in a row. There is a saying that the heat in Arizona is a dry heat and doesn't affect You the same way. You roast a turkey in dry heat. Bring plenty of water and be sure Your A/C is working.

Good place to stay, I got it off peak season so I had my choice of spots So I picked the pull through. Staff is very nice, friendly, and very accommodating. Be sure to look them up the next time you're in Quartzsite

We were there for the week of the BIG RV Show in Quartzsite so the park was crowded (as was the whole town and surrounding area). Our site was near the freeway so there was some noise. We had a back in site that was wide enough to put two coaches in - plenty of room for both our Motor Home and our car. Their WiFi is wonderful - even with a full park, fast enough to let us surf at will.
