Beautiful place to stay!!! The owners are amazing and so friendly. The campground is beautiful. Quiet and kid / pet friendly. We stayed at the end of July and wasn't bothered by a single bug until night time, and even then it wasn't horrible. Had a back in site, but was super easy to get in and the owner even personally brought us down to the site to make sure we knew where we were going. Everyone was super friendly. Was extremely pleased. Would absolutely recommend and would definitely stay again. Read More

We stayed here in September 2019 for a week. We would have stayed longer but it was time to MoveOn. This campground has been under new management since August. We cannot say enough about the new owners. They are so accommodating, friendly and will go out of their way to make your stay here as pleasant as possible. The RV sites are wonderful and the Wi-Fi is great. Cannot say enough about this Campground. If you stay here, you will not regret it. Love Vermont but love this campground even more.

Loved this place. You can tell that the new owners have put a lot of love and care into it over the past 5 years or so. It takes a lot to fix things up when it's just you and your family putting the hard work in. For me, it was just the right size. You don't have to walk forever to get where you want to be, but you are not completely stacked one on top of the other either. There is a trailer park you have to drive through to get to it, but that is simply out of their control. My kids love playing... Read More

Friendly owners with great service.

We were looking for a nice campground to stay in with two little kids while we toured VT. Good sam recommended this campground to us and their website looked nice. After contacting them and setting ourselves up for a stay they gave us a confirmation of the price of a full hookup with the good sam discount. When we arrived at the campground after a long trip and began our check in, they weren't friendly or welcoming at all. After they told us all the rules and policies, they neglected to tell us... After contacting them and setting ourselves up for a stay they gave us a confirmation of the price of a full hookup with the good sam discount. When we arrived at the campground after a long trip and began our check in, they weren't friendly or welcoming at all. After they told us all the rules and policies, they neglected to tell us that their full site hookup excluded the use of our air conditioner for which we had to pay an additional $5 a day charge on top of the original price. There was also a refundable $10 gate key charge to get back into the campground if you left! So now we are out another $10 for 2 nights. Then, like when staying in most campgrounds, I requested a bundle of wood, which after having it thrown off on our site was not dry at all!!! After all was dealt with and I gave them my credit card, I noticed that the price negotiated was not what they charged me! I asked them why my Good Sam's discount wasn't on there and they said I had to show them my card again to get that discount and it was too late. I was upset at not seeing a sign that they then uncovered stating this, and they refused a refund! This is a very poorly managed campground that cheats you completely in every way! Once on site there were different issues with the site and the so called beach lake that was also in poor condition! I have never stayed at a campground neither public nor private that was anything like this one! To top off our stay, we departed Mon morning at 9am after the office was supposed to be open at 8am and we had to call them to come open the office to get back our $10 for the gate key! Needless to say, we were very upset with them and will not be sending anyone their way! This is the first time I have ever felt compelled to write a negative review of a campground! Good Sam should not be representing such places if they value their name!!!

We spend 5 days at Limehurst, we did not use the lake as it didn't appear to be inviting with the water foliage over taking the lake. Our site was pleasant and faced the lake which was nice. The site was a little rough as it had tree routes that made it hard to walk and uneven, it was under pine trees that let ants invade our camper and dripped pine sap on our camper and truck which is damaging and hard to remove. The amenities sewer, water, electric and cable made our stay very workable. The management... Read More

The amenities sewer, water, electric and cable made our stay very workable. The management was not particularly friendly, but we really didn't engage them either. They didn't bother us either and that was fine. We enjoyed our short stay and having family and friends visit. Would I recommend this campground in the future possibly as it appeared that management are working on improvements. We did feel that fees visitors had to pay were out of line per person fees including children of all ages. They also charge additional fees to use your AC or Heat above the daily site fee. This we felt made the stay much more expensive than other campgrounds we stayed at during our month long vacation in New England.

Hot water was only available after many people had drawn enough to get it to the rest rooms. Being the first to shower meant a COLD (it also cost many quarters) shower! Comments were made as to this was being addressed or fixed, but nothing happened in the three days we were there.
