Sites are narrow and short with no shade in the 1st pull through sites. Though this creates challenges, my biggest issue is that our table is right next to the sewer connection. Lake is nice but swimming area closes at 7pm. Playground equipment is nice but designed for young kids. Restrooms, game room, store all are nice and clean.

I am a first time RV'er arriving for a 3 night stay. I paid $132.30 for full hook up/ pull thru with Good Sam's discount. I arrived in the cold rain and they helped unhitch me and get me set up. I am a solo (with pets) traveler who came to see Cuyahoga National Park. They also helped me detach and hitch up before I left. I also felt safe and that staff was available if I had questions or needed help. My water heater in my new RV didn't work so I used restroom for showering. They were clean... Read More

I am a solo (with pets) traveler who came to see Cuyahoga National Park. They also helped me detach and hitch up before I left. I also felt safe and that staff was available if I had questions or needed help. My water heater in my new RV didn't work so I used restroom for showering. They were clean and heated. (It was very cold weather.) The water is well water. I had a filter, but it did have an odor and is cloudy. I tried it and then switch myself and pets to bottled. As noted in prior reviews, the shower heads needed to be replaced likely because of the minerals. Grounds are neat and well maintained. It has a pretty lake and looks like it would be fun and busy in the nice weather. Park was quiet during the day and evening. Some of the spaces (pull thrus) are close together. I was there in April so many were empty. You are able to see the spaces on the website map and could likely choose depending on your needs. I knew I needed a pull thru. There do seem to be some longer term residents but due to the cold rainy weather I rarely saw anyone and when I did they were very friendly. Areas for improvement: Wifi. I chose to pay for my laptop to have wifi $1.99 day for 1 device. However, the wifi is only strong enough to do emails and simple tasks. I was not able to upload pictures to my blog or run programs. I ran my Roku TV, and tablet off my phone as a mobile hot spot. Overall, I gave 4 stars because for me safety and assistance are the priorities as a solo RVer. All staff members were helpful and friendly from office staff to persons preforming maintenance. I deducted a star due to the lack of wifi strength for virtual work (even when paying) and the water smell/color.

Sites were small, restrooms dirty on the weekend. No recycling. Folks were great. Dogs chained outside jumping barking at anyone who walked by.

The park is clean and well maintained. Bathrooms were also very clean. However, the water has a strong metallic smell which is very unappealing, even with a filter attached. We did not drink it. Wi-Fi is for use by fee only.

One night stay on an extended road trip. Interior roads are a mess and in dire need of repair, a mix of gravel and dirt. It had rained for a few days before we arrived so there was mud and standing water everywhere. Staff was outstanding but the facilities were not. Many "full time" units were eyesores... I would suggest that the Good Sam ratings are not up to date by any means....

Nice place to stop for the night. They had no TV/cable and we do not have a dish with our travel trailer so that was disappointing. We stayed there in mid October and they were scheduled to close November 1. Of course water sports and swimming were not an option at that time. There were a lot of full time rvs there so I imagine it is a busy place in season. The sites were pretty tight with not too much room in between trailers. The staff was friendly and helpful. We would stay there again... Read More

We were visiting family in the are and thought this would be a good stop. I am disappointed. Like other reviewers, the large gravel make many things difficult, walking, leveling RV, dog paws, etc. We arrived after a rain and there was standing water and mud everywhere. The park needs to re-gravel the sites and all of the roads, not using small boulders, but gravel. The sites are very unlevel since these large rocks just move under load and are not retained. The park needs to re-gravel the sites and all of the roads, not using small boulders, but gravel. The sites are very unlevel since these large rocks just move under load and are not retained. We needed to take showers and do laundry. The restrooms are o.k. but the showers are unacceptable because of the water smell. It was disgusting and ruined our visit. We did not do laundry since I was afraid that my clean clothes would also smell. The have huge carpet drying fans running to circulate air in the restrooms, but why not just turn on the air conditioning and eliminate the moisture, mold and bugs. Shower heads need replacing. This park is not worth the money, especially if you are just traveling through for a few days. I am sure the many seasonal and permanent customers pay a much lower rate. If you have kids or grandkids, there are lots of children's activities which is where this campground excels. Like others, I will not return.

Our family camped for a week at Woodside Lake Park. We camp regularly and have visited many campgrounds. We rate the campground as average for many reasons. First, the many seasonal sites are intimidating. The seasonal sites surround the "nightly" sites and some seasonal sites are maintained well and others are not. The swimming area looks great with the lifeguards, roped off areas and multiple floating rafts, however, our kids didn't like the weeds that were unavoidable in the swimming area. The... Read More

The restroom cleaning crew posted cleaning times after our 5th night there and one of the times they cleaned was from 9:15 - 10:15 am - prime showering and bathroom time while on vacation! One morning I was the first person to enter the showers after the cleaning crew finished cleaning and there was grass in the bottom of the shower, cobwebs still in the corners and toothpaste or deodorant smeared on the wall - all of which remained for our entire stay. The cleaning crew is also the mowing crew. Our group of 9 was gathered around one of our fire pits and the mowers proceeded to mow within 10' of the group. How inconsiderate! I understand that the mowing has to be done but we visited the Cuyahoga Valley National Park most days to bike so you couldn't mow when we were away?! Or better yet - after we checked out? Also the large rocks used as fill on the road and on the sites are hazardous to walk on and around. If you stay here be prepared for the ground sewer connection as it sticks up out of the ground higher than any other place we have ever stayed and was higher than our camper's sewer valve, which meant we had to physically elevate our sewer hose daily in order to get it to drain. Our family will not return nor recommend this park.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Escorted to our site. Pull through gravel site was level with room for slide outs. Grounds were well kept and clean. Dog park was available. However, there was a gap that allowed one of dogs to get loose. Pointed it out to the staff and they said it would be corrected.

The staff was pleasant and very accommodating.

This campground has much to recommend it. It is a good location with friendly management. But it is in great need of serious maintenance. The pavement is breaking down and is very rutted. The showerheads are corroded and unable to deliver a decent stream. This is essentially a trailer park for long term camping with a few transient spaces.

This park appears to be geared toward permanent residents. The majority of the Sites were occupied by all sorts of Mobile homes & Trailers. There was a section designated for short term visitors which are very close together. The property has potential which is not being maximized. Agree with previous reviewer regarding large gravel in Camp Sites. The surrounding streets/roads are awful & the Park road is similar with some of the large gravel used there too. Rain makes it a muddy mess. The restroom... Read More

Rain makes it a muddy mess. The restroom is in need of upgrades but the most serious issue was the water in the restroom shower (did not take any at campsite). The water had an odor (not pleasant) and it had an oily feel / residue. Yes, park staff was friendly but can't make up for the deficiencies. Would not return.

It is a lovely place and everyone is very friendly. But the problem is the roads are not in good condition - they are filled in places with large 4-5" rocks. In addition, these same rocks were also used on the pull through sites that made walking outside at all very difficult if you are handicapped - like I am. I had difficulty getting my mobility scooter to work on their roads when I tried to go on their grass it had so many holes that my scooter fell over on me - partially my fault. I really... Read More

I really like this place but I am looking elsewhere because of the mobility issues for handicapped folks. It is listed as partially handicap accessible - only the restrooms at the very front of the park are and only if you can get there by vehicle. We stopped here on a trip out east - the folks are super friendly and it is very lovely.
